...This made the game fun.
First impressions:
You're on the right track Ubisoft. I'm actually quite impressed on what a good experience I had when I first opened up the game yesterday. An FOV slider? No mouse acceleration? Amazing! Thank you for listening to the PC community.
I was worried about the performance since I've heard about it not being that great. But I think it's OK. I have a slightly overclocked GTX 970 and I'm playing on a 2560x1440 resolution. I wish I could reach 144 fps to take full advantage of my "Acer XB270HU" monitor, but if you compare this to other new demanding games, it's not that bad. On maxed graphic settings with 100 FOV, I'm getting around 45 fps. 45 fps isn't that good, but it's playable.
Back to the subject:
If you're a PC gamer and tired of just facerolling through every game, try expert difficulty and turn off as much of the HUD as you can live without. Raise the volume and feel yourself getting immersed in this game. You'll begin using your ears more.
Suggestions:
I don't really know what I think of the hunter vision. It's helpful sometimes, but takes away abit of the immersion.
It would be useful though if you could press hunter vision to see where your objective is, instead of having a floating icon all the time which ruins the immersion.
Ubisoft! Ttry to improve the survival and immersive aspect of the game and you'll start gathering alot of hardcore fans for your future games.
You and I have different opinions on that. If you're 100% sure you're not experiencing any mouse acceleration then good for you because that means it's not affecting everyone. However, a lot of us are and it makes aiming with the bow impossible without the help of Aim Assist.Originally Posted by A3rium Go to original post![]()
However would like to see Ubisoft add extra survival style elements in a patch or expansion. Food & rest requirements etc as others have mentioned elsewhere.
Using the Hunter vision in investigation type quests seems a good addition. I would love to see Ubi expand on that side of it as it adds a little more depth to the gameplay.
