    Possible Thacher change to buff other classes?

    I know suggesting new things here is pretty much a flame fest, especially when the person talks about a nerf, but hear me out.

    I have just over 160hrs played, lvl 100 and i generally play Thatcher/Castle. I play with 1 other person pretty much 100% of the time and he plays Thermite/Mute, since those classes compliment each other so well.

    Him and i have felt like the attackers pretty much have most of the power when it comes to choosing when and where to open up a hole. When we defend it always feels like the defenses people put up could be better, they just dont seem to work that well. We talked about it for a while and came to the conclusion that its Thatcher that is the cause of all our issues when defending, he has zero counters right now (i dont count Jager since you can disable his gadget through a wall). Thatcher can single handedly take out over half the defenses gadgets without even being near them or in the room. Mute, Jager, Kapkan, Bandit and any person that has a throwable such as smoke or any C4. Pretty much, if you have a Thatcher/Thermite on offense, you may as well not even have Mute/Bandit. I know there will be people that say "just dont put all your stuff down at the start", true, but i just end up finding your weak spot where the jammer isnt touching then, or have thermite pre place, thatcher grenade, blow the wall. A half decent thatcher/thermite combo you cannot stop from coming in. Whats worse is he can do it through walls or even above it through the ceiling and get multiple gadgets that way. So, heres my proposal.

    Nerf Thatchers gadget so that it cannot get anything through a wall, it has to be in the room of the gadget it gets rid of.

    Doing this would make Jager a pretty much must have at that point, Defense would be able to keep their walls if right classes are chosen and Ash even becomes even more usefull since if Mute has the windows/doors jammed, Ash blows it, thatcher nade, move in. Twitch would be more useful with her drone at this point as well. Defense would actually be able to defend their room rather than it being blown apart and it becoming a firefight.

    Thatcher is by far my favorite attacker, but he seems OP being that i can disable all defenses while on the roof or on the other side of a wall and there is nothing you can do about it.

    My thoughts are: what a waste of defenders' resources it is to put all jammers and shock wire all together in one spot.

    If you don't put all the Mute and Bandit gadgets in the same room it makes no sense mecause Thermite will find a spot anyway without Thatcher. And anyway Thatcher EMP has a very very large radius. It can easily destroy AT LEAST theree jammers protecting 3 wide reinforced walls. Way OP gadget.

    as bandit you can put a battery down after thermite places his charge and it will stop the charge from going off.

    Krotanix is right, placing the gadget as soon as you hear the charge placement will disable the charge.

    And it's better to reinforce the entry with gadgets and backdoor with traps, no need to spread out gadgets to cover everything. That way at least one jammer and one shock wire remains to be used later.
