what weapons could be added to FCP?

(This has probably all ready been covered but...)

With this game being set in the stone age i as well as most knew there wouldnt be many weapons to choose from, but i thought we could come up with a list of weapons that could be added. Clearly theres not alot we could add.. but ive thought of a few that could have made it into the game and maybe others have great ideas they would like to add..
    Mine are as follows..

1.) Shorter spears for close combat.. (could be a quicker alternative to the long spear but less damage? Also, could draw them quicker then the long spear)

2.) Stone axes (again, could be a quick swing close combat weapon with exellent range when throwing)

3.) Stone hammer (similar to the club)

Im sure you guys can think of more.. maybe variations on the stone axes/hammers..

    Whats your ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind is blow dart guns, could be a poison weapon.

Axes or similar variations on the clubs would be nice too.

I'd also like to see polearms of some kind, basically larger spears that can't be thrown but have the aoe cleave quality of clubs.

I also though about blow-darts, but I don't know how much mankind knew about poisons back then, or the physics of how air and a tube propels a thorn or whatever.

    Atlatl

The Atlatl. Though, maybe I just haven't gotten to it yet... just started playing the game and only have a few upgrades.

" The atlatl, essentially a spear-thrower, was developed in Europe more than 30,000 years ago, and in North America about 12,000 years ago. By comparison, the bow and arrow first appeared here only 2,000 years ago. " - http://www.hollowtop.com/atlatlbob.htm

Just a quick google search is telling me from various sources that there is evidence the bow and arrow is approx between 50,000 and 72,000 years old!

    However,the Atlatl sounds interesting

Sorry, you're correct... I quoted the blog out of context.... I believe the author was speaking specifically about Native American adoption of the Bow and Arrow around 500 CE (according to Wiki).

Damn it... now I want to leave work early and jump back into Primal

Yeah, having read the article I realised it was specific to Native American culture, so thats my error, sorry.

I also want to go home from work and get my 10000bc groove on!

Blow pipe is a good idea.. maybe as a short range weapon with high damage..
I think we should be able to customise our weapons too.. like for instance, the clubs... some players would prefer the rough edge stone edge.. but we should be able to choose the "head of the club" without sacrificing damage.

I thought of 2 more weapons that could have made it..
When we use the take down takkar uses what looks like a small bone knife, why be able to use that? Or.. maybe be able to use a small stone edged shank/knife.
The other idea inst too great but could be utilised.. a staff. The staff could be a quick swing weapon that could hit twice in quick succsesion.

Lots of good weapons to add!

    1. Atlatl as said before
    2. Blow darts would be a blast
    3. I would love to see the bola make an appearance for tripping up/capturing enemies for finishing them off up close or some hung along those lines.

    Additional animal lures.

How about more varied bait types, some means to lure non meat eaters for example to draw away mammoths and woolly rhinos from or to the action. I was also dreaming about some way to specifically lure eagles down to the ground perhaps using something akin to caught fish so you can stomp them for feathers and yes oh so satisfying revenge.
