Is it because this could be there only means of endgame content. They very rarely ever talk about the pve aspect of this game and when asked a question about pve they always avoid the question and revert right to darkzone talk. So why is that. Why are they pushing darkzone so hard? Do they not realize theres a pve portion in this game to.
Unless they've said something about PVE raids then this is more than likely the case.Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
How could they?Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
PvE zone is just a bug - popped out of nowhere. They were like "WTH what is this filthy PVE casual nonsense doing in our game?". But removing the bug was too hard so they just swepped it under the rug as a feature.
I mean, how else would you explain it?

Probably because it's the best part of the game. I mean a PvP enabled zone that is different than what most think of when they think PvP. A PvP enabled area that actually insists you pay attention and in most cases also insists you take responsibility for your actions or inactions. Why not push it? Or was your question a rhetorical one in your mind?Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
I'm sure they want the Dark Zone to be "the thing" people think of when they hear about The Division. It's not really my cup of tea, but for some people it's their bread and butter. The Dark Zone will always be somewhat unpredictable, and considering you're potentially fighting other players, it's going to be a "true test" of "skill" to get good and be good at it.
Basically, the Dark Zone(s) are the long-term investment, while the PvE is the impulse buy.
Personally i didnt notice this. I think they answered the questions relating to PVE.
But its difficult to say what will be endgame content. The game hasnt come out yet and the beta was very limited. Personally i get the feeling that they have not released their plans foe endgame content yet and for now the darkzone is what they have. (Personally i LOVEEE the darkzone).
If they did say anything about End-Game content, they would get crucified. And I think they know this.Originally Posted by SideWays408 Go to original post
If they said for example. "The end game content for PvE is that you can play all the missions again at level 30 difficulty."
The reaction "WTF all the missions we already played again!? Re-playing content!?"
Then they say "Well we also have 3 Raid Missions that you need 8 people to play".
The Reaction: "WTF?! You NEED 8 people? I play solo, I can't do 8 man raids!!"
Then they say "Well we also have 3 random end-game daily side-missions you can do each day"
The Reaction "WTF?! Only 3 Side Missions and I have to wait 24 hours? I play 16 hours a day, what am I supposed to do with all that time!?"
No matter WHAT they say about end-game content, they will get a huge back-lash. If they say nothing, they get one guy making threads that say "No Endgame Content - CONFIRMED" and everyone makes fun of him for being a conspiracy theorist.
I predict the endgame will be.Originally Posted by Flatlander57 Go to original post
A number of later missions on the highest difficulty, coupled with dark zone content that needs more than one group to conqueror.
There is a general trend in games towards PVP and away from PVE. The reason is that PVE is much more difficult and requires for time, money and resources. You have to create the enemies. You have to script their AI. You have to script event triggers, etc. Then it all has to be tested. PVP is less expensive, developers just build the environment.
These are the same reasons RB6 Siege didn't have a campaign. UBI charges full price for a product and significantly cuts their development costs = more profit for UBI.
It would be odd and short sighted of the developers to have 2/3 of their game be PVE and the other 1/3 by PvEvP , have no standard PVP At all, and rely on the PvEvP content as their primary feature. (I would say that is taking an extreme risk, when the PVE side is a much safer bet)
Strictly PVE players will never use the DZone, some PVE players might use the DZ ocassionally, most strictly PVP players won't be interested in this game at all.(And a lot of FPS PVP players don't like 3rd person shooters at all) That leaves a pretty small percent of players that will only or mostly play in the DZ.
Haven't the developers said the game is first and foremost a RPG game and that is why they won't add standard PVP in the game ? (Pretty sure I read a quote on here like that,I could be wrong)
7 more days and we'll see, if the PVE content is Not done correctly, rushes you to endgame way to fast, and then there is no content to play many will leave the game.
I just went through what I described above with Destiny, where you finish all the PVE content in a week , and you have nothing to do but 1 raid and PVP AFTER that, (and the PVP in that game is simply average at best , they have been pushing PVP in it since release to make up for the speed and ease of blasting through content, and the over all lack of content. And the majority of players just are not interested in PVP
Played plenty of MMO's over the years that had PVE and PVP, and PVEVP and it's only a portion of the playerbase that it appeals to, the majority just prefer to PVE in an RPG.
