R9 285 XFX DD 2GB user here with random freezes for half a second with a blackscreen right after forcing me to do a hard reset on the computer. Already submited my ticket yesterday, they replied and asked me for my msinfo, i provided it and they asked me to fully uninstall my video drivers and install them again. I did that, managed to play for a few minutes in the snow (managed to capture a bonfire) but it crashed with a blackscreen again, waiting for their reply now. This is really frustrating, i was enjoying the game very much, do you guys think they will even bother to patch this for the pc community? Since from what i saw they focus more on the consoles community.

    My specs:

    i5 6600k
    R9 285 xfx DD 2gb
    Asus Z170-P
    8gb DDR4 RAM

Possible fix (worked for me so far)

Ok guys, so i think this is a problem of conflict between this game, AMD and windows 10. I've tried to run in compability mode with windows 7 and so far it didn't crashed, been wondering around on top of my sabretooth in snowy lands for like 10 mins and it didnt crashed nor give any error(usually it would crash in less than 1 minute). I don't have time atm to test it more since i have to go to work, but try it out, hopefully this workaround will work for all of us I wish you best of luck and give your feedback!!

I run windows 7 and still crashing. I can play for and hour or so but once it starts crashing it crashes faster and faster untill it crashes within two steps.

This method does not help. The last time the exact same problem was a year ago in witcher 3 and solved the latest drivers for windows 10 .

Aww man well like i said i only managed to test it for 10 mins... i don't think ubisoft is looking into this, it's not even in the knows issues page... it's tremendous lack of respect to their costumers...

    Crashes all the time

So installed the game yesterday and started playing, no problems really, at one point it quit for no reason and had to use ctrl-alt-del to quit it and restar. Then went smoothly, played for 2 hours today. Took a couple of hours rest and tried play now and it freezed so had to turn computer off then on. Now it cant ecen start the crap, the fartest it goes is to the startup text warning for ephilepsi and then it freezes.
    R9 graphic card here aswell.
No issues with any other of my games, running windows 7 and sure as hell havent changed anything since this morning.

    Hi there guys,

The issue has been reported so the team can look into it.

In the meantime can you try the steps listed here?: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...1#post11427101

They've resolved issues with freezing/crashing in other instances so let me know if it helps for this!

Thank you for your continued patience.

Already tried those steps, didn't work so far. This issue should have been adressed already AT LEAST 1 day after the pc release... Please, make it fast.
    Thank you!
