I tested also fo4 + rain, with 16.3.1 no more crashes so far. Still testing, but i had a save where it always crashed on any crimson drivers or 15.11.1 driver . Rain weather+ undiscovered area. Now i could jump, run left, right, reload the save, nada , stable fps no crash.I instaled true storm mod as with this mod it was a crash fest due to intense rain weather , and all ok.The only change i did was disabling the power efficiency. all other crimson settings on default.looks like 16.3.1 has finally solved this issue after several months. will do a long proper test next days, but so far i am 99% positive the issue is fixed in fo4 too.
I Hope you´re right...Originally Posted by Kuwabara1 Go to original post
I checked on FC Primal right now and it runs, but the Framrate is slightly slower as before, but it is stable at least!!!
Hoping FO 4 will run without CTD wich would kill my mood, because i´m totaly through of all this Driver Install Madness.....
EDIT: Ok Mate, FO4 runs smooth as never before, Primal as well without any Crash, looking forward to AMD Driver´s that are beeing that good in future as well as Ubisoft not saying anything about what may be the problem and ignoring user´s, wich in fact was the most frustrating thing on the whole thing, right?
Try to disable the power efficiency in amd settings.->gaming->Global settings.Have you uninstalled the old driver properly? optimal with DDU .There were some fps issues in the Division. Turning power efficiency off fixed it. You can try that , not sure if it will fix it tho.Originally Posted by Yato_Kami Go to original post

Its fact that they ignored customer’s complaint not that there was a problem with the game that pissed me off. I understand that making games for the PC world is tricky and filled with issues/conflicts. If there seems to be an issue with the game with lots of people having the same issue why not let those concerned customers know that you (ubisoft) do see that there is an issue and are working on a solution. Something like this would have worked wonders….. There seems to be a conflict with Far Cry Primal and AMD video cards. We are working hard on our end and with AMD to solve this issue as fast as possible. We hope to have it fixed soon and Thank you for your patience and continued support.Originally Posted by WID992007 Go to original post

i completed the game with no crashes the other night on my Asus Strix GTX 960 with Driver version 359.06 installed .. with no Geforce experience software installed or used
recent Nvidia drivers gave me nothing but problems starting in Driver version 361.75 in January 2016
drivers 361.75 as well as 361.91 also had a big in Nvidia shadow play that would cause several games to crash , Nvidia was aware of the problem ..but i do not know if it has been corrected
so if you installed Nvidia Geforce experience with your drivers try to disable shadow play
i stayed clear of the newer drivers ever since the bugs i had with 361,75
it was detecting my ASUS Srtix GTX 960 as a removable USB device , and many reported the shadow play bug was causing several games to fail to launch or crash
Nvidia admitted the shadow play bug was a problem in the driver set in both 361,75 as well as 361,91
and said it would not be fixed until the next Major driver branch
see these posts on the Nvidia forums

the 361,75 drivers also and all drivers past that point keep installing Nvidia backend on my windows 10 install even if i choose not to install Gefroce Experience or any other Nvidia software ....plus it installed Nvidia optimus software on my desktop system .. ??
optimus is only used on laptop systems to switch between an onboard intel HD video chip to an Nvidia GPU .. my quad core CPU does not have ANY intel HD vid chip on it ..so that was another bug in that driver set i guess ??
the next driver they released was 362,00 but that driver set even said in the release notes .. there were no fixed issues in the drivers for Windows 7 , 8 or 10
plus many people have reported alot of problems with the current Nvidia driver version 364.51
see
https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...10-16-updated/
and 364.47 was so bad they had to pull the driver set as it was damaging peoples systems
You either kiss allot of bum or get paid by Ubi.Originally Posted by WID992007 Go to original post
Tbh i have used the same drivers you recommend with sli & without sli, With and without gsync, also tried various graphics settings.
If it does not agree with this many people then maybe there is something wrong with the game and a fix would be nice.
Otherwise i can fully understand the norm ubisoft action of take money and run or possibly quota past so who cares now...
Its a great game. Some of us paid allot of money to see it at its best (generally speaking pc). Faulting application is "farcry primal".
Every other game before this fares fine with the latter drivers for 4 nvidia gaming rigs i have, this farcy primal does not.
You saying "it works fine on mine" is in no way helpful.
We are up to 364.72 which does not kill any of the mentioned and works fine for many games.
dude the game works for thousands of people .. if you have a problem it is isolated to your machine and configuration
i posted to try to provide information on the recent Nvidia driver problems .. you wanna sit there and try to tell me the recent Nvidia drivers are totally bug free .. GO FOR IT
but i do suggest you go look for yourself on the Nvidia forums .. you'll see many people have had problems ..and had you clicked the links i provided you'd plainly see that Nvidia admitted to the bugs ..not once not twice .. but 3 times since January 2016 with their drivers
and even the current driver has issues for many Nvidia owners if you go look on the official Nvidia forums
i am not paid by ubisoft or anyone related to this forum or game
i only try to help others out solve their problems on their own configurations
many of the posts ............... if you read this thread deal with a specific problem related to AMD cards .. AMD did release a new driver that corrected the freeze problem for many users
those that still have a problem SHOULD open a ticket with AMD support
or make sure they USED DDU or the AMD driver clean up utility to clean their past driver before installing the new one
if you still have a problem with the game contact Ubisoft Support ..if Ubisoft support does not answer your ticket contact them by twitter and request an update and provide them with your support ticket number or call Ubisoft support on the Phone
Idk if this thread is still being monitored but it needs to be, I've had 2 or 3 freezes since starting the game (about 1 for every 8 hours of play, not bad so no need to report issue) until I ran into the one side mission where you drink your witch doctors skull blood inside his tent to go on the fire quest.
Running sli and 4k and not disabling it for any reason unless the game suffers from it and Primal benefits from it so anyway go on fire quest game freezes within 20 seconds, reboot/reload same issue, tried a bunch of things but finally got past it by launching game from ":\Program Files\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry Primal\bin\FCPrimal.exe" so it ran without uplay and no internet, switching to win mode to "borderless" (cutting resolution to desktop default) and Post FX to Low (motion blur and AA are also off in my settings, everything else is maxed) I was able to beat the fire quest though in a pixellated horribleness.
I'm running sli 1070's on a msi gaming mobo and an fx 8350 @ 4.4ghz and the latest drivers.
