I would like to call the AMD support and talk to them directly, but a phone call to another coutry is seriously expensive and i can't afford that luxury (nor i have to, it's not a problem i created), do they have a free international phone line so we can call them?

    Same problem with my setup.

    Win7 64bit professional.
    AMD FX-8350
    XFX R9 380 4GB
    16 GB RAM
    ASUS Sabertooth FX990 R2
    Creative Recon 3D fataity
    Samsung EVO SSD

I've contacted Ubisoft NO JOY (what a surprise), AMD I'm not going to waste my time. But I've contacted XFX who make my R9 380. They
responded to me this morning saying it was a driver problem reinstall etc. etc. I've just mailed him with links to this thread & others like
it. I also said the card is not fit for purpose as it stands & I would like a refund. Now lets see what his response is..............

Maybe if everyone moans at the graphics card companies they can put pressure on AMD, Ubi etc.........? Just a thought ?

P.S. My setup played the Witcher III with ease not one problem.

Get a grip Ubisoft you are loosing a lot of loyal customers !

    Has sm1 tried this driver?
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-arti...dows-beta.aspx
just uninstall the current video driver in safe mode using DDU etc. and instal the CCC beta driver.
This is not the only game with this issue. There are several non Ubisoft games with the exact same issue related to r9 380/ 285 (tonga) video cards.Always crimson drivers.

There is no latest beta driver atm. Checking every day, 16.3 hotfix is latest and stable

edit: stable but not with far cry primal for sure lol , no fix yet

Its actually a catalyst control center driver. not a crimson driver. check : https://community.amd.com/thread/197686
Have no acces to my desktop right now to test it personaly . The OP reports it fixed the issue for him. at least in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Fallout 4.
Not sure if this is true also for FC: primal.

    • [99999] Far Cry 4: The game may hang on launch on some AMD Radeon™ 200 and 300 series products under Windows® 7 and Windows® 8.1

far cry 4 used the same game engine as Primal

if anyone needs a link for the older AMD drivers to try go here if ya cant find them on AMD's site (amd i think removes some beta drivers.. this site still has them up )

Have any of you above been submitting support tickets? It helps a) get you someone to problem solve other than WID (who is awesome, and much appreciated by the way!!) and b) gives more information to help the team understand the scale of the problem and work toward a solution.
