I was just Wondering if There Were going to be some Digital Pre-Order versions of The Division for Ps4?? I saw one for the Gold Edition XBoX One but none for Ps4. I was looking to Pre-Order the Gold Edition yesterday for my self and my SoN but couldnt find it. I searched Amazon, but i want the digital copy that way his mom cant take it and go sell it to game stop when she gets mad or break the CD. Lol smh! plus he lives thousands of miles away from me.

I think what the OP is implying (although he could've said it a bit more clearly) is that he wants to pre-order the game for his friend. As far as I know, there is no way to gift a particular game code on PSN. I could be wrong though, but I've yet to see that. You would have to give him your credit card information so he could purchase it from his account, but that's definitely not wise.Originally Posted by Ghaleon Go to original post
There are, however, PSN gift cards. You can just buy one of those (they sell them at convenience stores and supermarkets all over). They come in different denominations, and you could just scratch to reveal the code and send him the code by text or email. I'm assuming you're in the same country. You did say you're thousands of miles apart though, so I don't know if this method would work internationally. Here's a link to show you what the cards look like, but again, I would just pick one up at your local corner market rather than waiting for Amazon shipping:

Oh, I just reread your message and finally got what you're saying. You're a dad, and you're buying it for your son? Geez man, learn some grammar, LOL. I saw your post 2 days ago and didn't reply because I couldn't understand what you were saying until I saw it again today, and even now, I'm still figuring it out.
Anyways, if your son is far away, I really hope you do know about game-sharing on PS4. You essentially swap primary PS4's between your accounts so you can access the other person's PSN content.
Let me explain more clearly. At a basic level, each person should have a PSN account, and each PSN account can log in on any PS4 and access any digital content associated with the account, kind of like how Steam games work on PC. However, because people traditionally buy disc-based console games and expect to be able to share with other family members in the same household or take the game to a friend's place down the street, they couldn't just do away with local sharing. So instead, they have what's called a "primary" PS4 registered to each account. Once you register a primary PS4 to your account, anyone on that system can access your digital content without logging in as you. That way, if I buy a digital game, it's not locked from my wife's account simply because I didn't buy it on hers. But if she wanted to play it at a friend's house, she'd be out of luck, or just have to log in as me.
So the trick people use to share games is, let's say you have 2 friends: A and B. A and B each have a PS4. A register's B's PS4 as A's primary. B registers A's PS4 as B's primary. So they essentially swapped primaries. Now, if A buys something on his account, B's PS4 has access to it regardless of the account logged in. Likewise, if B buys something on his account, A's PS4 has complete unrestricted access to it. Of course, this doesn't work for disc-based games, only digital content, because access to disc-based games is tied to the disc.
I live in California, and I use this trick with my dad's PS4 in Missouri. In fact, we didn't even really swap primaries; I only registered his PS4 as my primary, and he kept his PS4 as his primary as well. That's because I'm the only PS4 user in my house (my wife actually hasn't immigrated to the US yet, so I made up that scenario), so I don't need to access my games with other accounts on my system. However, my dad shares the PS4 with my younger siblings and occasional visitors, and they only have a few multiplayer games that they really want to be able to play locally without the restriction of having to log into his account. So his PS4 is the primary on both of our accounts. This lets us all play Rocket League together, which I got for free with PS+ before he ever had a PS4.
So if you don't share your PS4 with anyone else locally and would like to play games with your son without having to buy multiple copies of each game, I highly recommend you swap primaries. You can find exact instructions of how to do that with a little online searching. Then, you could simply preorder games on your account, and he would have access to them as well. Do note though that some things may not be accessible to both accounts. There may be cases where an online game saves whether or not you have unlocked premium DLC on some separate service from PSN (free-to-play games with third-party wallets come to mind, so you probably wouldn't each get $10 worth of credits by just paying $10 on a single account). I don't know whether or not this will apply to The Division's season pass and bonuses, since we don't really know all the details of what's in it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Gold Edition just came with some unlock code that affects your account with The Division servers rather than PSN itself, so sharing the Gold Edition by swapping primaries may not actually get your son the full Gold Edition. But it's still certainly better than buying 2 copies at $100 a pop, and you always have that option later on if he decides he really wants his own copy for whatever reason.
