With all the people turning against each other and often backstabbing, looting, stealing and killing anyone they see I believe that a "reputation system" is due to be in place.
The system can simply mark individuals with a sign/mark/color to let other users know of their level of hostility based on their history in DZ.
If we all have a reputation system that way it will be easier to tell who is an abuser, who is a friendly, who is an accidental rogue etc.
What do you guys think?
But why we should know that. Where would be the tension that devs has been talking about since 2013. Even if we did know players reputation, friendly player could gank you on extraction point, while the big red evil rogue could help you. Reputation system that is visible for others just does not bring anything to the game and is just silly.
I disagree.Originally Posted by Hyperthron Go to original post
Each player should have some sort of reputation. I know that there's supposed to be a lot of distrust while in the Dark Zone, but there are some genuinely nice people that play in there. So, if a player spends a majority of time not killing agents, participating in successful extractions, eliminating hostile rogue agents, then either the game or the community should have the opportunity to UP vote that persons reputation. High reputation would yield a "green" marker next to their name when you see them. If they have gone rogue a few times, caused trouble, etc... then you should have the opportunity to DOWN vote that person. This would result in that player having a "yellow" icon or a "red" icon if they are just a straight up trouble maker.
So, when you're extracting and you see that a few of the players have green reputation you can, to a certain degree, trust them. That doesn't mean they wouldn't turn on you... but you would know that for the most part these a good, genuine agents. If you have a few agents that are yellow or red it can allow you to be more guarded and perhaps implore some of your teammates to seek tactical positions in case they choose to raid your squad. This also allows you to choose your targets that you want to raid more easily. If you see that a group of red reputation agents are going for an extraction, but are not rogue, then you and your team can plot to eliminate them (and going rogue) but know that these individuals probably achieved their loot by killing other agents or you can just blindside and kill them giving them a taste of their own medicine. At the same time, it can make teaming up with other agents, or helping other teams extract, more easy. If it's an entire team of green agents going for extraction then you may want to help them achieve a successful extraction UPING both of your reputations.
TL/DR - We should know who goes around shooting literally EVERYONE they see and those who don't. Simple as that.
Wheres fun and mistery in that? Terrible idea.Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post

There needs to be a system in place to protect normal players, who actually love the game and put quality time into it vs those who seek to ruin our experience.
For me the fun is knowing who to trust and who not.
I feel a reputation system would be nice, but it shouldn't be so easy to access that it makes it significantly harder for "player hunters" to hunt other players. It should be hidden in a player inspection menu, and should notify the player that's being inspected that he is being inspected and the gamertag/username of the player inspecting him. Not blaringly obvious, but like their name popping up in the corner of the screen or an icon by their name in the world.
Sounds WAY to Lordmnag4 so on principle alone NO WAY.Originally Posted by Proffesional Go to original post
