I've put in a good 8-9 hours into the game now and all in all, I'm very happy with it. Actually, I'm having a blast with it, especially the beast mastery aspects. Although a bit simplistic(not in a bad way), it really adds a fun extra layer to the Far Cry forumla.

But there is one thing that sort of feels underwhelming about it. The "legendary" beast.

They all have a great setup, and excellent, tense quests to allow you to tame them. After battling it out over the course of an entire night, in one case a couple, you're rewarded with the beast...which is nearly identical to the base version of the beast outside of a cosmetic difference and a *very* slight boost in 1 or 2 stats.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed the experience of taming them, but I feel they should be differentiated from the pack a bit more. Like bringing their own unique bonuses or perks, or maybe even a couple of perks from the lower tier beasts that are completely useless by the 5 hour mark of the game, such as the great utility of the Dhole or stealth of the Jaguars.

Not a huge complaint, but seeing that the Bloodfang Saber, who is more your nemesis than even the other clans, being only "the fastest predator" exactly like the base Sabertooth, was a bit dissapointing. Same goes for the others.
