If a Ubisoft employee can answer this question I will buy The Division Gold Ed TODAY!

After I complete the main missions and encounters and no longer have a need to grind for better gear/weapons then what reason(s) will I have to continue playing this game?

    Really?

Is that a serious question? Coming from someone who probably is complaining about how there's not enough pvp. Once you get all the best loot and the best gear you can go whenever you want and spend all your time screwing kids over. A pvp player should find a great fun in that?? Right???

Wrong because darkzone is level based. So chances are youll be matched up with other people that have nothing left to do.

If this is your mentality then I would rather you didn't buy the game.

Have you ever played an RPG? There are so many players that are capped out on level but still have mediocre gear. I'm pretty sure once you cap out your level it's going to be tough to get all the best gear. You're acting like right when you level up you already have all the best stuff.

This is, at its heart, very much like an MMO. The goalposts will move. New content will appear.

The fact is that you are not going to find orange drops with precisely your ideal combination of stats and gear for a single spec within a reasonable period of time; you will have a functional, but by no means perfect, character in a relatively short period of time. Every passing hour beyond this is much more sharpening than progressing, and once you've socked away an ideal loadout for a single role, you can focus on another role and do the same, and again, and again. Once your insane laser-focused perfect-on-five-rolls-simultaneously item drops... you now have another weapon slot, and six other slots, and mod slots on each, to fill with the absolute best, most ideal gear you could need.

The kicker here is whether you feel satisfaction in perpetually working to be a sharper blade. If you don't, you'll get 60 hours out of the game, get bored, and leave. It is the same for essentially any game of this kind. That said, consider that $60/60hr. is pretty much the best ******* exchange rate for monetary-output/time-being-amused in human history.

You don't need an Ubi or Massive employee to tell you this. Buy or don't buy. How you respond to it and whether the game resonates with you are your responsibility.

I'm getting off these forms I'm tired of arguing with pessimistic peanut brains. The division sells are going to be insane and the game should be great as long as ubisoft doesn't give in to all the peanut brains.

You should always want better gear/weapons.

Games like these are never over...to an extent. The plan will be to release new content every few months which will give Max level players incentive to play. Usually these expansions render old gear obsolete and require players to get all new gear to get to the max. Rinse and repeat, until people stop logging on in enough numbers to support the further development,
