simply to put it. I see alot of games have no rhyme or reason to the things we do.. Scrap the single player story, what do you have... nothing but ;
Grand theft auto - people running around killing each other for money to buy things to kill each other with.
the division- people endgaming their gear so they can run around in the dark zone like chickens with their heads cut off killing rogues or going rogue.
world of warcraft= simply to put it hours of years being nothing but a human behind a computer paying a company 15 bucks a month
arma- a run around shooter with a skin of military. simply to put it survial.. arcade type where you save nothing but a high score.
dayz- simply arma but with less reason.
see where i am getting to? Nothing to show for it. You game and you game and you have nothing to show for. I want a game where you can spend all your time to show off your empire. Eve online is a space game where you have your dedicated space to show off to people.. you defend your area, you fight for more area. You mine items and sell stuff your empire makes..
what i want = open world= evolving world- building base- seamlessly massively multiplayer- a reason behind my gameplay-
take for example the drug lord.. i start off as a poor kid in a poor country. My family never made any money and our country is full of criminals. I want to be able to choose my path. I want to be able to choose my self from a huge compiled list of possibilities .. never ending possibilities.. I wanna turn a shooter into something like The Crew. Massive world where warfare honestly means something where when i go play a shooter or raid a faction it means that im building mine or stealing money or revenge.
a game as big as the crew where i start in bolivia, i work hard and now am able to own land.. after i bought that land i can then grow poppie fields. then hire people, players or npcs to collect the poppies. What you can do the npcs can also do... i want to know that what i am doing is illegal ( just like arma 2 pakistan life ) so at any minute i could be raided by a group of npcs who are the law in my country. i want to be able to work in my drug processing plant.. packaging a drug or now i have enough money that i can now be the ceo and just walk around the building with my ak-47 watching either both players or npcs that i hired to process my drugs.. i want to be then raided by another gang or police and have to stop and collect myself or my crew to then fight them off. Then the equipment i have on me drops when i die. You would then have to dispose of bodies because now you have dead bodies in your wearhouse where you process drugs.. OR you could have chosen the life of some criminal terrorist who is inside a lab creating a bio weapon to sell to someone for money.. OR you could be in a lab or factory legally making weapons to sell to a country who is fighting a drug lord of another country.
This is the type of depth i want in a game.. dayz where you die you drop your stuff.. you start from scratch.. that way people who have built the empire they are on are worried about losing it. so if i have built my character to become the president of usa, i wouldnt want to then join a mercenary and go fight head on guns blazing.. i would want to go to stores, buy suits and try to continue my life and my bank account by being a politican watching and ordering my military to fight (player sir597) in another country who is a drug lord..
I want to be able to have a city like new york and it be as big as the sims life.. where as the president or future one.. i go buy a suit.. well that store that sells that suit needs players to sell it.. yes just like grand theft auto has a girl behind the counter.. thats an npc. it has its own ai and it can be replaced by me a person who wants to play as the person behind the counter making some money that way.. the possibility to this are endless. You could simply call the game life..
i know what i am asking is huge way bigger then world of warcraft and would make companies go broke making it . but you could start out small and build apon it. INSTEAD of making a NEW game tittle after tittle. and just have every cd we own just a meaningless reskin.
why dont game companies start this game sell this game as an alpha, early test never ending expansion.. charge people for what would be appropriate, and create the game of life. Where the goal is to become leader of the world. imagine the fun people would have doing that and becoming that. eve online only got so far as it is.. because they stopped thinking about what it could be.. noone in the game can become leader of the space.. or ruler.
then you ask well cant that leader just log out and not play ruining it for others.. yes he could and he could be taken out too. Then if you let offline players die, how could i play my game log off for the night and then comeback dead. Well it wont work like that.
lets say you progressed and became leader of the world.. if youre afk and you logout and dont logon for a certain amount of time.. you then become available for takeover. simple as that.
this is what i want a game to be.. role playing actually MEANS something to the game if you create the lore as gameplay.
to OP:
dude, check out Identity RPG. It's the game you're searching for but it's in development right now. It has a website, a 9-min youtube video that tells their vision of the game.
I'm not into those stuff but just to give you a heads up
Edit: Additional info: they are the makers of Arma's "Altis Life" mod
thanks but i want a good company to make it .. sometimes those shooter games dont have a smooth like flowOriginally Posted by oguzhan0007 Go to original postlike arma 2 pakistan life wasnt that great cuzz its clunky
i checked out that game.. and it looks ok but i dont think it will feel as smooth as grand theft auto or wildlands or the division thats what im loooking for smoothness good graphics and play-ability.
That kind of game is fully impossible to make in this current generation. You may have to wait two generations to cover all these expectations of yours... Smooth animations, incredible graphics, advanced AI system and playability etc.. all together cannot maintain a decent frames-per-second (FPS)... Developers have to choose two (in some cases three) of them and go with it...
Sorry...
