Any chance if we get to retain our progress/data?

Obviously with the caveat of being able to re-customize our character's looks, since those option were locked, and had to random until I got something close to what I wanted.

Since most open-betas allow for the carryover of progress, gear, loot, etc... kind of wondering if we get to keep anything of our character if we pre-ordered and/or for those that would buy the game post-release.

Apologies if this has already been asked or stated in an FaQ... my WiFi is getting a bit wonky, so would take forever to find the info. :-/

Are you crazy, what game has ever allowed you to keep your beta data.

    Hey Funky0ne,

There has been official confirmation that nothing from the beta will carry over.
    Everything will be reset.
We started the game at level 4 in the beta, but will be starting at level 1 in full release.

NO. It would be unfair for people not in the beta.

    No.

    You said wonky.

We get to keep the in game rewards for participating in the beta! Remember we start at lvl 4, there's the whole intro mission and likely tutorial mission from activation to lvl 4 we didn't experience yet.

...also everything from the Beta might be contaminated so we wouldn't want that in the full game.

The beta was open to everyone and it has been done before! But I didn't think for one second it would, it would have been nice though ha

I highly doubt they are going to let people start the game with 2 High End guns, and Full Purple Gear since we barely got Any PVE Content to play in the Beta, having those guns and Keeping your current PVE and DZ levels would:

    A) make all the PVE content level 14 and under near uselessly tedious ( having the High end lvl 12 Guns I am estimating they are equivalent to at least level 14 Blue weapons )
    and
    B) give players a HUGE advantage in the DZ verse the hundreds of thousands of new players to the game.

Best to have a Level playing field out of the gate,,, Beta players already have an advantage of knowing the DZ zone by heart lol.

if they let us keep the clothing we found that would be neat, but i wouldnt miss it if they didnt since 95% of it looked very similar ( especially the Coats )

Wow, 2016 and you still don't know how betas work? Most MMORPG open-betas allow you to carry over progress/gear/loot/progression... it's close-betas that don't typically allow carry over.

Feel free to Google it and check, because after all, Google is your friend. ^_^

(People have argued this so many times in the past, would have figured it was given common knowledge by now...)

    EDIT: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision..._a_beta_reset/

Check out the OP... it's not me, but even they say the same thing, rofl. :P

(PS - Being a 32 [almost 33] year gamer, it's been my experience that I've experienced more open-betas allowing players to keep either all or at least some/partial bits of their progress/loot/stuff as opposed to open-betas that don't.)

The devs confirmed it during the beta streams that all progress is reset and nothing is carried over to full release.
