    Uplay

    Dear RedLynx/UbiSoft.

Please find the person responsible for adding the "uplay" button to the race pause menu and fire that person. Kindly ask him or her to never participate in any activity resembling ui design again.

    Thanks.

Haha this post gave me a good laugh, but in all seriousness the reason it was added is so that when people reinstall the game they don't have to play through the first few story tracks in order to login to their account and get their progress back.

However, I have no idea why the Uplay button and the Exit button aren't reversed in placement, it literally makes zero sense. The only reasoning I can possibly think of is that they are trying to trick you into accidentally pressing the Uplay button, ffs people the Exit button is ALWAYS at the botttom.

    Hi Elakh,

this button has been added a month ago or so. As Whiteboy109thst said, it's to ease the access to Uplay when reinstalling the game.
I do understand it doesn't look very intuitive to place it here, but I can promess you you'll get used to it!
I actually had already forgotten it wasn't here before

PS : I won't forward the "let's fire that guy" suggestion, if it's ok with you ^^

Yes, I know it's been there for a month. It's been extremely annoying for a month.

If you have an action that will very rarely be used, like this one that will be used once, you don't put it with other more frequest buttons, especially not a small bit apart like it's put here to make it the one to stand out and steal the focus. You could've just as well put it in the options page that is accessable from the pause menu. If you have an action that opens a very very slow and ugly modal window, you don't put it anywhere near where it can be tapped by accident. Frankly, "you'll get used to it" is a really poor excuse for a shoddy design.

So, I still think you need to fire that guy. Either it was an act of utter incompentence, or it was an evil intentional move to get more people to log into uplay (and if so, it is probably some manager that needs to get fired instead). I think you would be far more successful with getting people to use uplay if you redesigned the integration to not block the game while loading, not being so slow, and being skinned to fit in each game.

I just was able to use it after a reinstall. I like it. You have a tough job because people only complain about things they don't like and not for things they like but just wanted to say thanks and I like this feature!

Nobody has demanded that the button be removed, only that it be moved to a more sensible position in the list.

We could "get used to" not playing this game anymore too. Why argue with the sensibilities of your customers (and every sane UI on the planet)?

    Hi elakh,

I'm usually quite nice and understanding, but I think repeatedly asking for firing employees you don't know, is nothing but disrespectful. You don't know why this decision has been made, you don't know the restrictions they had to follow, all the design structure of the menu, etc.
So you are in no place to judge the competence of the employees. I understand you are annoyed, but frankly, if your biggest complain is the place of the Uplay button, I won't worry too much. However, I won't accept you being rude in the forum. It is always possible to express a complaint without being insulting.

"You'll get use to it" isn't an excuse, it's an advice, because it ain't gonna change. And from experience, I know you'll get used to it.

    Hello OldSkullD,

I am not arguing with your sensibility. I'm just saying it won't change, at least not in a near future, as there are much important things to fix in the game.
Ang again, you don't know the technical constrains behind this decision, so implying the UI artist who designed this menu is insane, is just out of line.

    Will people ever stop complaining?
People complained it took too long to get into uplay and access their account and now that there is a button which when you open the game allows you to get it peopl are complaining about the button.

    Please make up your minds
