5 man group equates to over 20% of the instance size player wise. That 5 man group then goes to an extraction point, sets off the extraction, kills any and everything they see, maintaining there bounties and getting PvE kills (setting off an extraction triggers a wave of mobs and is the most consistent way to find PvE in the beta) for DZ exp essentially power leveling through the dark zone.
Why would anyone play it any other way? It beats roaming a barren zone looking for people/npc's to kill. I was excited for The Division but i gotta say im tempted to cancel my preorder seeing as how the PvE element wasnt what attracted me to this game in the first place.
If your solo then you should be in a solo instance of the darkzone...If your teamed then you need to be placed in a team instance of the darkzone. its not rocket science. how they stop team's from power leveling through the darkzone is a different matter though.
“The Dark Zone is one very large walled off area in midtown Manhattan that you seamlessly enter from the open world,” says Rundqvist. “It’s a dangerous and lawless place. The enemies and missions here encourage players to team up in order to up their chances of survival.” Taken from an interview here http://blog.ubi.com/the-division-dark-zone-pvp/Originally Posted by Neezdutz Go to original post

I have done well solo, or in a 2 man team. It is better to be teamed up with a solid group though, as most multiplayer games are. And a couple of things, darkzone holds I believe 24 players? Not 20. And the groups are 4, not 5. Which makes it roughly 16 percent. That leaves the other 84 percent to hunt rogues. Going rogue is a calculated choice. It's a high risk/ high reward thing. If you are having problems with them, use the handy local area voice chat and coordinate with others and hunt those rogues.
I don't think it was poorly executed overall, but there's a few things that really need an adjustment. The turret issue with someone in a stepping in front of one purposefully to set off your rogue status and then watching a three to five man team just kill you instantly is frustrating. I don't know how many times me and a partner for no reason had been lit up as going rouge while fighting NCPs and a group would just happen through, run in front of our shots or turrets, and then take us out.
Which leads me to the other thing I wish Ubi had done with DZ and that's make it so you could opt out of PvP while in it. You could lower the drop rate of specials and still have a challenging experience without all the trolling that takes place. I have no doubt the open beta is looking at how the dynamic of the DZ is going to work and I firmly believe that having an option where you can still roam through without fear of getting mugged by a group of players in a cheap manner would improve the game immensely.
I was totally considering doing a pre-order until I had experienced just how cheap some of the groups roll through the DZ. I'm undecided now.

It's really frustrating having to step over pins and needles just to make sure you don't hit someone with a bullet 3 times as they walk right in front of you.
