They could not start the beta test in general!

My bet is that they are running these servers on virtual machines. The server maintenance would be used to adjust the allocation of virtual CPU and memory based upon the number of supported concurrent users.

Short story. They are trying to optimize their server configurations.

When the game is release, instant buy button iz on! But, im downloaded and play 20 min today, and Delta 'whatever error message punch on my face..... Thats great! After the maintenance 'svalaback... I'm hope for the release fixed all of this... Minor bugs accepted!

They are obliged to check that then after game release on them slops didn't pour for that the server fell!

Compensated for this downtime? Are you high? It's an open beta. Server maintenance is to be expected. Hell, server maintenance is to be expected even on a fully released game.

Why would you expect to have a beta schedule tailored to you when you don't live in the primary time zone of the customer base? Out of the top 100 gaming countries in the world, the first 3 spend more money on games than the following 97 combined. If you don't live in Japan, China, or the United States, guess what - you're part of those 97.

The worst beta you've ever been in? You are delusional and clearly have not played many betas.

Ubisoft hates Australia? Makes sense. A developer/publisher hates an entire country. Totally legit.

The few replies to this thread encompass everything that is wrong with the gaming community. Someone said you can't have the toy you really want, and now you're throwing a fit in the middle of the store.

I'm in OZ and had a good 4 hours of play time Friday night. Awesome game and I will be buying it....but suggesting that because Australians live in an area that does not produce as much profit as the US or China our concerns or needs should be ignored is exactly whats wrong with the entire world.
A capitalist system that puts profit over people. Spread the maintenance times around if at all possible.

I don't expect this will be an issue when the game launches and I concede that some of these Aussies are whinging excessively (which according to Australians is a pommie trait, boy have they got that backwards)

Also I agree...worst beta ever...I think not and I've done a few.

What a bunch of whinners ,ok this is a beta test which is for testing the servers and certain aspects of the game .
So if any issues arrise which usally happens in these tests ,the DEV'S then do certain things called maintainence
so the game and severs run acordingly .

So just be patient and the game will resume when they are done sorting ont any ISSUES that have arisen ,as
if the DEV'S didnt do anything about it in this test all you whinners would be kicking off .

So if at the end of this beta you dont like the game then cancel your order not just because you cant play the beta and are *****ing about it .
As ive said before this beta and the previous beta/alpha are the best tests ive played in a long time and ive tested loads of closed alpha/beta's in over the last 15 years .

2 weeks Tuesday and we get the full game ,well done Massive on a top game thats original and not just another run of the mill shooter .

This is plain stupid, 2 server maintenance in such short time?
Time should be added to the game, we missed out around 17 hours of total play time.(Starting from 0:00am +2GMT of 19th till 14:00 +2GMT of 19th, and today from 11:00ish +2GMT for another 3 hours)
Either add more zones to be accessible in Beta or time, or both.

It's not a whine, you gave Xbone a day head start and a late start for PC and PS4, time should be added.
