Games evolve to some degree during beta, and this is obviously no exception. I'm a little surprised they took it down for a ~3hr maint due to the duration of the "beta", but then again I'm also surprised to see an open beta running for only ~3 days.

I didn't much care for a 7am release, nor am I thrilled about a 4am-7am maintenance. I'll probably survive, and you will too.

Keep in mind that this is a BETA rather than just a free demo period... folks these days don't seem to understand the difference. Use this opportunity to help improve the game rather than salting out because they have to pull their servers down for a few hours.
Agreed for 100%. Was about to post similar thing Kids need to learn appreciate FREE stuff, and learn meaning of BETA

    Server Maintenance

I would just like to take a moment to show some support. I'm not very pleased with Ubisoft support due to Rainbow Six Siege and it made me wary of purchasing The Division, especially after hearing of the many glitches in the closed beta of which I didn't have the opportunity to participate in. However after playing the open beta I can honestly say I'm very pleased with the game and will most likely be getting it so thank you for the chance to try out your game before making my decision. In regards to the server maintenance i had a server shutdown warning so I'm not sure why others may have not been getting it. I did notice though that when you press the start button next to your inventory is a another category called news in which you did have the scheduled server maintenance times up and I appreciate that. To anyone else reading this if you are just slightly attentive to these forms of communication that Ubisoft has with us I believe you will be a little more pleased and not feel left in the dark or forced to search online. It's impossible to please everybody but you have pleased somebody and I know I'm not the only one. I just think the ones who appreciated it aren't out on a hunt in the forums...only the others. Looking forward to the full game! Thanks Ubisoft! (Fix Siege that game is still so broken...)

    All I see is complaining.

Maintainence being done is only a good thing, they're resolving issues with game so on launch, some of the cry babies, can enjoy game without major problems or glitches/cheats.

    it´s funny..

when you´re in the game and you try to log in and you can´t cause of the DELTA error,
you were switched back to log in every time without having an option to go back to menu and to shut it down ordinary ..

am i incapable or do i have to ALT F4 the game to leave it ^^ ?!

Always funny reading this generation y sh!t...

... complains over complains, instead of being thankful getting a great watch insight a game before release and helping to eleminate the last issues to have a good experience in the final version.

First of all, before complain ... try to get a global sight of your point (the world is much more bigger and and more complex as your little life in your flat wherever), because this is what a developer and publisher has to do before every decision ... trying this hardly, you will find out really fast, that it's not easy to make it perfect for everyone.
--> deductive, if it's not possible, deal with it, find your own solution, or leave it at that, you will find anything else ... but contemplable, that a lot of people have a lot of fun with it ;-)

The second point, a developer has no obligation to offer an alpha, a closed beta nor an open beta ... so you have no right of compensation. To offer this are a lot of additional costs beside the production of the retail game (extra team to code the alpha/beta version, extra servers, extra communications, extra ..., extra ..., ...) with actually no directly revenue --> sure, a part from that, the game gets better, and a better game gets greater revenue for the retail version ;-)

So, after you were successful with these two points ... feel free to experience the game, have fun and a great look at the game and give your constructive feedback to the devs ... that is what they need to finalise the games ... that is what we all need to get games with less issues and bugs at the release.

At this point ... thx to the devs, great job ... keep going!

For me the game is running fine ... everything noticed in the closed beta has been fixed ... graphics are not so as I hoped, but definitely very nice, with great weather and light effects, a lot of details everywhere -> awesome ambience ... also the performance is smooth and is running very well.

Wasn't in the DZ until now ... coming back with more feedback later.

    HF fun, cya ingame!

    Prolly goning to extend

Well i would guess they prolly extend the beta with a day again like the closed one. but you never know. it is a "beta" and not the full game so cant expect it to run flawelessly. they woulden´t take the servers down if it wheren´t needed to fix something / push a patch or something. and to whine and scream about "compensation" LOL it is a open BETA and it cost nothing. its for testing etc and if somthing bad fails or not works in this test they will have to take it down to c if they can solve the problem during the beta time when theres alot of people playing otherwise the whole open beta concept would be useless if they cant try the fixes during it. and close to release to so im just glad to c they do some work to fix things. im more vorried when there actualy is 0 down time in a beta

    Free beta is fine.
My issue with it is the fact they Announce release for PC & PS4 at 9:00 +0GMT and delay it by 3 hours due to maintenance, kinda stupid.
Not to mention the Pay off that came from M$ to release it a day before for Xbone.
Also gimp the beta too like 1/2 of what the Closed was, the closed one had the crafting system and was a little more open..

Should extend the time by 12 hours or so imo.

To all those complainer-bashing, keep in mind that they are entitled to express their opinions. Clearly, we are all here because we are unable to play the beta due to this maintenance, and I am sure that everyone here would like to play. Yet so far, Ubi/Massive has not responded to these maintenance complaints directly, so logic follows that the only way to get them to respond is to make more noise.

Note that I am not endorsing such complaints, but I do believe that we as a playerbase have a right to know why Ubi/Massive has continued to schedule future maintenance during the same time window (instead of say, 3 hours later) in spite of many player complaints. And at the very least, I believe that we as a playerbase should be respected enough to be provided additional information of what this maintenance is addressing. I know that a lot of player frustration would subside if players were just given an explanation as to why time is being taken out of their very limited testing time windows. Hopefully, all this noise will rouse a reply out of the sleeping giant, but in the meantime, everyone just needs to be patient. Avoid bashing people and focus on the topic. Bashing is pointless and turns a conversation into an unpleasant debacle.

See you in the DZ (in 1.5 hours)! Cheers!
