I found a solution (work-around) that makes the hung white screen go away... and the game to load.
Its here: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...2#post11394542
Basically, its injecting some DLLs into the game before it finishes "loading".
I didn't like the look of it, as I'm distrustful of these types of things (they are generally trojans)... but it works!
Hopefully the devs of this game can look at the injected DLL (its only 24kb... tiny!) and fix the game now?
It seems to be something related to dualcore computers not being handled properly by the game?
For those who dont want to click the link and actually find a fix (like moderators, support staff, etc)... here's the info that worked and fixed my problem (copy/pasted from the guys post that fixed the issue):
I did find that you need to add the EasyHook64.dll to the list of injected DLLs before the dualcore one though, so that EasyHook64 is at the top of the list and ges injected first... otherwise dualcore.dll fails to injectOriginally Posted by bd-MICHAELMX Go to original post
If you have a dualcore compter (or maybe even i5, etc... and have the White-Screen issue of the game hanging... try this and then give props to the original poster (not me) for fixing your issue! (you can find his post in the link above).

Fix this ****.
a quick update on my status, i played some more this evening and for like 2 hours or so i have any crashes. Don't know exactly what fixed because i did two things:
1) deleted the whole game and download it again, i tried to verify the files through steam and still had crashes/bsod yesterday.
2) i turned off kaspersky anti virus when i played
so one of this or both could fix here for me, i have to play more, but beta will finish tomorrow... anyway i hope my bad experience and reports with this beta can help you guys tune this up to make it a great release on march 8. I want this game running perfectly as possible.
Too little too late for anyone looking for tweaks, but I just improved my gameplay significantly.
My game was running fine, I could run around, but whenever I shot or got near any objectives or pretty much anything significant enough to be marked on the map my whole system and game would just freeze.
I disabled uplay overlay and limited my AMD to 30 fps and got about an hour before it did the same type of freeze.
At this point I didn't troubleshoot which was was best and all that, or even go through the steps of not having background programs running. I just tried a fix I saw in this thread somewhere and it had some improvement.
so tldr: disabled uplay overlay and limited to 30 fps worked BETTER
Nice Ubisoft, finally the Beta has ended and a lot of people still canīt log in into the game once. I buyed your game, trusth you as a company but... last time. I canīt refund the game now because i waited for a solution from your company but a month later hunderds of people still canīt log into the game and test it. We will see if when the game get launched this problems are gone but, honestly, i donīt think so. You lie us all whit a Beta that is a Pre-Alpha. I can play almost 100 games on my steam account but The Division doesnīt work on my pc and you guys all day telling us, the customers, "You have a problem whit your pc", change that or that, NO, YOU NEED TO REPAIR YOUR FCKING GAME, not us.
Good luck.
PD. Sorry all for my bad english, im not a english native speaker as you can see![]()
I really really really hope that you guys fix the crash to desktops caused by "TheDivision.exe has stopped working". From what I can read in the forums here, nobody had any luck of fixing the game with the solutions stated in the opening post. The crashes were so random. I had moments where I could play for more than one hour before it happened, and I had moments where it only took the game about 10 minutes to make it happen.
So yes, I really hope that you guys know what is causing this problem and fix it before the final release. I enjoyed the beta's (closed and open) a lot, despite of the crashing in both versions. I'm planning on buying the game because I'm very curious to the full contents of the game, but in order to enjoy that, the crashing should be history
Thanks in advance Ubi!
Totally agree. I couldn't log in at all that first day without crashing as soon as I attempted to move my character. The only fix was a post I found here where I had to downclock my GPU. Just gonna have to anticipate a rough first month for this game after release.Originally Posted by The.Sticky Go to original post

Nervous as hell that I'm going to CTD every 10-20min again on the release version but hopefully they have enough data from this thread to identify the problem.
When I watched the first The Division gameplay video, maybe a year ago, I was pretty excited with the game. I really liked the idea of a teamplay based, open world shooter and being a fan of Tom Clancy series, it simply looked perfect.
One year I have waited, checking for news and new videos, counting the months before I would finally be able to play the game. I bought the game to be able to get into the Closed Beta. When I downloaded the game, I couldn't get past the intro movies. Yes, THE MOVIES!!!! My computer would freeze in a way that the only solution was to unplug it from the energy inlet. I looked for solutions online and the best I could find was this post telling me "shut down this, shut down that" and nothing would work. I opened a support ticket to see if they could help and what did I get? The exact same "copy and paste" solutions that I had already seen in the forums. The weekend passed and I misses Closed Beta.
And then came closed Alpha. I had hopes the game would be more stable. A month had passed, right? WRONG! Actually, half-wrong. I could get past the open cinematics (YAY!!! :/), but when the game was loading, BAM, PC freezing badly. Same $h!t, differente day. I didn't even waste my time trying to find a solution this time. I Googled it once to see if anything was discovered, but no. Same posts, a lot more complains and no fix.
Some, including Ubisoft, will say the problem is my PC. Of course, that's the easy way out, eh? Blame the customer! "He doesn't know how to use my product!". I mean, really? Everything is up to date on my PC, drivers, etc. I play much heavier games like Arma3, DayZ SA and Ark no problem. I play different games from different studios (GTA V, MGS: Phantom Pain, Rust, Tomb Raider) no problem. I even play R6: Siege from Ubisoft no problem (now).
I'll wait for the same to launch and I'll try running it. If it doesn't work, I'll ask for a refund on Steam and it will be a while before I buy any other Ubisoft game. I already had a bad experience with Rainbow Six Siege. The game has been out for a while and there are still known issues detected during Beta that aren't fixed.
