This has been by only concern with the beta thus far. A lot of running around with no interactions (let me ride a bicycle or something!). One of the things I enjoyed about Destiny was how you had your usually enemy spawn locations, but every once in a while, things would just get serious in a hurry when a huge Taken army drops in and you're all of a sudden in a small to medium size war between multiple races with other players dropping in that is just out of control. This made exploring very exciting and added that sense of unpredictability that I'm already feeling a lack of in PVE areas of this game.
Really hope we see more of this in the full version of this game. I'm hoping this will be the perfect ying to my Rainbow Six addiction yang.
The random race battles were cool in Destiny. The only problem I had with them is that it seemed like once the enemy saw you, it seemed like they put aside their differences and both attack you. Could just be my imagination.Originally Posted by ATVMAN29 Go to original post
Now that you mention it, I think you're right. Sure made it exciting though!Originally Posted by JermD303 Go to original post
I do think that they made level differences more difficult - enemies that were a level ahead of me in the alpha weren't nearly as bullet sponge-y or as sharpshooting as they are now. And to the post stating that there's more to the game - I'm quite aware. I can see all of the menus blocked off, all the skills that can't be accessed, all of the parts of the base that haven't been built, and all of the map that isn't available (though, the last bit will be pointless if it's as scarcely laid out as the current portion of map that we have).
Difficulty alone doesn't make for a game. Like I said, players need to feel engaged. There should be more to fighting enemies than marking encounters or going to memorized spawn points. That would turn it into the literal grindfest that Destiny is, akin to everyone standing at one doorway and shooting in.
I agree. Simply put more enemies in the city would make this a more invigorating experience and would help the longevity and replayability of the gameOriginally Posted by Ursidae Dominus Go to original post
+1 to Adding more "patrolling" enemies. And it would actually be awesome if different factions would sometimes interact and fight one another. That was a thing in destiny i really enjoyed.
+1 to tougher AI that use more strategy and will work together to flank you, or flush you out into an area. I would love the challenge. Dying from a group of npcs while on a missions, or a random encounter would be pretty awesome. I would be excited to go back and try a different tactic and try to take them down.
Enemies fighting enemies would be great. Gives you the option to intervene, or wait and pick up the scraps. Plus it give you a reason to run and check something out. If you're walking past a street and hear shots, you'll be inclined to head down there and check things out!Originally Posted by abbyyea Go to original post
Lack of Roaming/patrolling enemies in the pve area im hoping is just the beta as youtuber angryjoeshow has a division video when he went to malmo before the closed beta and he was playing the full game and he ran into 2 fairly large groups of roaming rioters/looters within about 5 mins.
There is a video on youtube also from a youtuber called dat saintsfan when he went to malmo and he manages to sprint all the way through dz 01-06 and ran acrosss what we now know as the lmb in a firefight with the cleaners if i remember correctly which is pretty neat.

Thats the link for anyone interested in seeing the full length of the darkzone, he starts running through each zone towards the end of the video.
Make sure you guys express yourselves via the polls we have set up in the Beta Intel section! Thanks for sharing the feedback!
