I have some suggestion for UBI Soft ... I think they should get rid of 1 or 2 of their useless VP, and use their salary as a donation to the company developing Urban Terror game for example (because I have been playing this free game a lot and I never encountered any of the issues people are having with R6 siege), and ask for some advice on how to properly implement network layer and multiplayer.
Obviously developers at UbiSoft have issues with these and there is no shame to ask around.
Also, would be a good idea to check the site codeguru.com and re-read "Network programming for dummies".
Also, patches are supposed to fix things, not make things worse ... patches are supposed to be tested.
And finally, this is for the marketing VP not yet fired, probably not a good idea to launch another multiplayer game (Division) when the current one is such a failure.
It seems to be a common thing now to release a completely buggy game, take as much money as possible, and switch to something else, only leaving 1 or 2 intern developers to fix all the bugs until the community calms down and decides to focus on something else ...
sad but true
