The issue is the saved game data does not carry over to the next session. Any points earned in ANY online activity is lost when you close the game. When game is restarted, players points values revert back to 4/8/16. This is also affecting the leaderboard being updated. This is happening on all platforms. I've contacted Ubisoft support, followed their suggested fix, which included re-installing the game and delete gave save data. None of those steps resolved it. I am getting a faster response on the Ubisoft support Facebook page, but the issue is still not resolved. I am a ps4 player, and also posted there. This issue is happening again on PS4. Not sure if it's happening on other platforms, but it's been going on for 3-4 weeks now.

I'm having a hard time understanding why an issue that has been resolved in the past is taking so long to fix again.
