Imo some kind of theme would be good, it doesn't have to be strict though.

I feel the editor is already limited so there is no need to limit the builders more.
    I agree with this.

I can't say I agree with the above

    I do agree with Kalzzone

One of if not the most efficient way to build is to do the driving line first with no focus on background or theme.
Focus entirely on the quality of the driving line.

And then do the theme after and mould it around the already completed driving line.

Objects can always be subbed out of the line to then match the decor and theme whilst not changing the function and smoothness of the already completed line design.

I strongly disagree with that being the most efficient way to build. I would be willing to bet the majority of people don't build like this.

SlimReeper started this thread over a month ago and is looking for more people to be interested. If you want to entice people to build then give them freedom. Let's be honest, the Trials campground isn't overflowing with campers currently. We are playing a two year old game which is probably going to be replaced with a new Trials soon(Fusion replaced Evolution after two years). It would create more good/unique tracks for track central. Maybe it would motivate people to build knowing they could do what they want.

I'm willing to bet there are a lot of builders who do build this way,
I personally see it as the most efficient.
But hey each to their own, everyone has their own style.

Awesome guys, appreciate all of the interest, there is still one judge spot open, for anybody that wants to judge.

Just so you guys know, regarding the theme issue, both sides wont be disappointed. Dont expect it to hinder any map you have in progress or for there to be no unique concept to this tournament at all. Again, need 1 more judge, and we can get this started.

    IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Due to the heavy amount of Trials Tournaments going on at this current time, I am postponing this tournament to a later date. It is not because, of a lack of people who want to compete, because that clearly is not the issue, the issue is I do not wish to divide the community into separate tournaments. Lets all concentrate on 1 or 2 at a time.

Again, all of the people who were interested in this tournament, please compete in one of the others. This tournament will still happen, since everything is pretty much ready to go, but I am saving this tournament for a later date. Hope you guys understand.
