Weekly Raids & Mission Quest Events in The Division?

    Greetings agents,

While we still do not know exactly the specifics on how the dev team at Massive intend to keep "The Division" ongoing into the long-term with our progressing characters....Hopefully, the addition of new side-quests, raids, high-end gear, cosmetics, new character AIs, and possibly opening up other areas of New York like Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island etc., are in the future plans..

But, one thing I am curious about is - Will the game offer "Weekly" mission quests to complete for a chance at increased XP/Credits, specific Gear and Mods?

It would be pretty awesome if all agents can have the option of going to their "Base of Operations" on a weekly basis and be briefed on a specific goal to complete, a new side-mission within the city, or possibly an objective deep into the 'Dark Zone'...

Similar to Destiny, something like this would give players an incentive and habitual routine of wanting to come back to the game (weekly) to check to see if there is any new mission event worth pursuing for good loot.

Perhaps, this is something already in the works by the Dev team...?

While we do know Ubi/Massive is committed to the game after launch with its Season Pass DLC...It would be great if we knew more confidently that the Dev team will be consistently pushing out new incentives & goals to keep this open-world RPG going -- I think if the devs were to more vocally promote and offer something like this as part of a valuable & evolving aspect of the game, it would really help build a strong community of players that "The Division" needs for the long-term success.

If you think a "Weekly" goal or mission quest would be good for the game, please feel free to share your thoughts, and vote on the poll above.

Simply put that once you upgrade your BoO enough JTF forces should be able to protect the zones without needing your support. However if your base is low on upgrades, Enemies should be able to occupy your BoO and hold everyone inside hostage, possibly giving a bit of bonus xp/creds for retaking it. Unlike Farcry 4, I think that whould be more of an incentive to want to watch over your bases.
That would be an interesting dynamic if the "Base of Operations" (BoO) would need to be maintained over time from losing ground & need additional ongoing support.

Tho, i'm not sure if having enemies potentially occupy the inside of the BoO would be a good idea...I think its good to at least keep the BoO as a somewhat "Safe" zone inside...however, something that offers a way to regularly keep the BoO supported with additional resources and protected would be a neat goal to focus on.

100% on that, would diffidently keep me logging in on the reg for a new mission or two every day/week/month.

I do however also love the idea of a more dynamic would where enemy factions can retake parts of the city and even attack or capture you BoO which will only help to elongate playtimes and add to a sense of a living world.

As long as it isn't a lazy substitute for developing new content, I have no objection to weeklys/dailies per se.

I actually like the BoO Recapture idea. Would add an option for like, a tactical map, where you deploy your JTF forces on missions to reinforce certain areas. You could have a limited amount of "deployable forces" per day, so you could reinforce or attempt to expand the JTF influence into different areas, but if an area hasn't been reinforced within the last 24/48 RL hours, there is a percentile RNG chance that whichever faction is occupying the area adjacent to the neighborhood you control, that they will invade and take it over due to the lack of troops.
