we're all pretty shook up about this....Originally Posted by r4gegam3r Go to original post![]()
I would be down for this game but I get bored of the farcry formula quickly and yes I know this is different but the combat seems...well bland so I dont see me getting to much out of this game without the map editor. No multiplayer doesnt bother me as I not much of an online player. guess I will have to see more about this game after release to see if the singleplayer is good enough for me

Fooling around all by yourself?
Farcry 2 had good online, a great map editor with lots of good community maps.
Farcry 3 had the same map editor but not for mp maps, farcry 4 had map editor but just for boring sp missions.
Farcry 5 has no whatsoever online features at all....
I loved making mp maps in fc2, some of my maps were downloaded over 2.000 times.
We had some great pvp games on them.
And now.....nothing. Every fc game has gitten worse when it comes to online experience.
An all sp game? First in fc history.
get one thing straight, Primal is NOT far cry 5, it's the one they're making after 4, but they didn't number it, it's not like if they number the next one the series will go far cry 4, far cry primal, far cry 6... that'd be stupid. Hopefully they're making far cry 5 and it'll be set in modern day and have coop and the map editor again....
Imo all future far cry games will be spin offs just like primal. we will never see a far cry game that will resemble the past games. the map editor and pvp multiplayer are GONE for good. people who believe that the so called far cry 5 (the savior) will be the second coming for the map making community are deluding themselves. ubisoft have moved on and left us map makers on the scrap heap. if you want to make maps just go back to fc1 fc2 fc3.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
The way I see it, Primal is the final FC title to make use of the FC 3 assets, a game which Ubisoft worked on for nearly 4 years. They spend big bucks on FC 3, new engine and all and pretty much made a profit by reusing this particular engine in 3 other games (4 if you count FC Classic).
I think the proper Far Cry 5 entered development right after FC 3 was released, I know this is wishful thinking on my part but bear with me. Far Cry 5 will be glorious, a soft reboot so to say and it will be set in a very lush jungle and will be the first real next gen Far Cry. It will rival Crysis' foliage density and interaction and you can shoot down trees and palms. They will also use a different font for the Far Cry logo and maybe even ditch the 5 for a V to make people understand that this game is not to be messed with.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to play Far Cry V next year.
