Regen health should be an option as some people prefer to play that way which is fine by me. Me personally i do not want regenerative but im fine with a med pack or a medic on the team that patches you up but you dont go back to 100% health.

Still early in development? Well that means this game won't come this year.

My first experience with Ghost Recon was GRAW and it instantly became my favorite shooter because of the realism. But one of the reasons I only played Future Soldier literally one time then put it on the shelf was regenerating health (along with other crap like the cloaking camo) I want a shooter as real to this time period as possible. If I want futuristic health setup, I'll play Halo or something. I'd love to see something like this...
You have a medkit, but only so much inventory room to carry them. You would have to sacrifice some ammo, or grenades, or other devices to carry more. Medkits would heal half, maybe less, of your HP and also get you back on your feet if you're downed, but can not raise your health over 50% no matter how many medkits you use. The only way to fully heal between missions would be to visit some sort of medical station in a village, or maybe a few scattered mobile ones. And if you are downed and neither you or any team mates have any medkits left, a team mate should be able to stop you from bleeding out, but u will not be able to get back on your feet. You would have to be picked up on a team mate's shoulder and carried to a vehicle and taken to a medical station, unless the team finds a medkit somewhere in the enemy base. That would add much more tactical decision making. Do we sacrifice firepower for more medkits? Do we try to finish the mission with 3 people, or retreat and get our 4th guy back?

It's the complexity of production's pipelines. When they start work on something like vehicles for example they have a goal but they don't realy know what it will be at the end. So like Bluefox explained, you can't really know if what they are working on is at the end of the overall development.

Going by UBI's history we will have Regen, I can almost bet my house on it.

Being said that and sticking with the "Give us more Options" motto... since we're having health regen I vote for having something like R6 Vegas had where your vision would not only blur but it would go dark but you would recover to quick so if they adjust it (again, options) where if shot in the arm, blur/dark vision for a 2 seconds, shot twice, 5 seconds, etc, etc. then perhaps people would not complain as much.

Heck, make it even better and run with your basic "Everybody gets a trophy and there are no Losers" in EASY and NORMAL mode (health Regen Galore)... but leave HARDCORE mode for those of us that want options and don't want to run and gun all that much. This, as long as you actually make the effort to change the code and optimize it so AI is more intelligent in their movements and way of thinking and not simply make them more deadly with their shots like GRAW so we die quicker.

Make it optional for the ones who like it....and there will be a lot of new players checking this game out who will be used to health regen, and jet if it's not an option. My opinion. If we can get specifics on where one would respawn if killed, that would be cool. Say option to spawn on buddy or same place killed or a 'neutral' spot in that area,

anyway, I vote for no regen, AT ALL. Tell the newbs to suck it up and become better a little bit.

    wait, I'm the newbie here...

In today's Noob/Kiddie world, UBI does not have the cojones to do that as that would mean 80% of their fanbase (ie: casual gamers) would not buy it because "its just to hard and no fun at all". They are also way to stingy to allow the Devs time enough to code a decent Hardcode Mode where we would be able to enjoy what you are suggesting while leaving the easy and normal mode for all the gadgets they like to come up with.

Yup, people these days don't want anything that requires you to use your brain and careful planning. Anyone who was born after the year 2000 has no idea what tactical and realistic actually meant. Instead this generation wants to get rewarded and have their hands held to get that new awesome perk... Very sad. Ubi won't honor their old fan base because they want to keep up with COD and BF. So sad GR was an awesome game when Red Storm owned it. This is why I support indie developers such as Black Foot Studios and some others. Ubisoft will NOT go back to what the game originally was.

whew, lucky I'm not born in 2000+...

I can't agree more with you sir, I just asked my friends to buy GRWildlands later when it came out and they are sooooo scared with the tactical gameplay from the trailer, all they want is Mk48 and kill everybody with those 100 rounds LMG.
