you have the old out dated version of Uplay installed , they have updated it over a dozen times since the game shipped with new features , the old version will no longer work
you have to go download and install it , you can get it here https://uplay.ubi.com/

which driver version and card you got ?
both AMD and Nvidia have busted far cry 4 in the drivers recently
if you have an Nvidia card do not use the 361.75 drivers go back to the 361.43's
361.75 have a bug in shadow play that will crash the game on launch if you install geforce experience with your drivers
see http://steamcommunity.com/app/298110...7699617665929/
you can use the 361.75's or the hotfix 361.82 's but ... do not install geforce experience .. or find a way to shut off the sharing in shadow play i do not know if they fixed the shadow play bug in the 361.82 drivers . i'm using those but i never ever install geforce experience and thats where the bug is..
you can get the 361.82 hotfix driver here http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4026
(it only says they fixed the usb error that your gpu shows up as a removable device in your win 10 task bar
AMD cards.. well they will crash if you have the AMD gaming evolved in game overlay enabled .. to fix it disable the overlay
they have that listed under known issues even with the latest drivers
- [82387] A few game titles may fail to launch or crash if the Gaming Evolved overlay is enabled. A temporary workaround is to disable the AMD Gaming Evolved "In Game Overlay"
oh an one other note .. if you are running win 10
launch Uplay as well as as steam (if you have the steam version ) as RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
this games engine was created years before windows 10 shipped and that change may needed to allow the game to write any save files and or configuration files , windows 10 may handle file security \ permissions in a different way then previous operating system did.
what Nvidia video card do you own ?
if you have a laptop only use drivers provided by your laptop manufacturer
also did you use DDU to remove your previous driver before installing a new one .. you should run DDU in windows safe mode to remove your previous drivers before installing a new driver
you can get DDU here http://www.wagnardmobile.com/?q=node/51
or from the Guru 3d website here http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html

sorry to tell you but no FarCry4 4 will not run on your systemOriginally Posted by Maicompr Go to original post
the 9800 GS cards from nvidia do not support shader model 5.0 which is Direct X 11
they only support shader model 4 .0 which is Direct X 10
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...S.12932.0.html
FarCry 4 does not support Direct X 10 video cards \
to play FarCry 4 you will have to upgrade your video card to a direct X 11 supported video card that supports Pixel and vertex shader model 5.0 or above
again

if you look at this page it lists Direct X 10 video cards
http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video_g.htm
this page lists the ones that support Direct X 11 (remember not all cards on this page are supported it must be better then a GTX 460 or and AMD 5850 hardware wise .. not just number wise .. Nvidia GT series cards are not supported )
http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video.htm
by hardware wise i mean pixel and vertex shader count , memory bandwidth as well as Rop's all make a difference in how well a video card can perform
