Game fails to load after The Unpainted Future

I recently upgraded my computer to a I7-6700 with a Nvidia 970 video card, so I think my systems more than capable of running FC4. I am playing the last Shangri La mission The Unpainted Future and after winning the fight the cut scene plays then the loading screen comes on and the loading bar progresses all the way but once it reaches the end nothing happens. It just sits there in a perpetual state of loading, this has happened 3 times now. This last time I left it running all night and when I got up this morning it was still trying to load.

launch Steam and or Uplay (depending on the version of the game you have ) and verify your game files , you may need to do this twice to ensure that everything installed properly
most of the time when you have a problem like you are describing it's from the game missing a file or two

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator

    to launch Steam

go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

    select properties

    select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems

If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client
Again its probably best to make sure you launch Uplay as RUN as Administrator when you do a file verify

Thank you for the reply. I don't use steam never have so I went to uplay and ran it as an admin and then verified the files. No problems were found. I'll try playing through more of the campaign missions and try that mission again later. If it still is a problem I'll try the support page.

yea if your files check out i'd contact Support , most of the times i have tried to help other users with a problem as you described, it was usually fixed by verifying the game files when a mission did that kinda glitch

wish ya luck in finding a fix for it , i have played through the game over a dozen times now with no problems like that

i have an Old Core 2 Quad and an Asus Strix GTX 960 with 8 gig o ram , your system should have zero probs with running the game , other then the busted Nvidia gameworks features
if ya have any of them on try shutting them off

Delete the GamerProfile.xml and see if that fixes the issue - you have to adjust game settings again once back in the game.
Yes, so many boss fights are not funny any more

I guess I had not progressed far enough in the game as after I completed everything except the pagan min fight I was able to complete The Unpainted Future. Thanks for all your help.

I completed it today. I'm guessing that you have to complete certain missions before this one.
