did you try?
first try, then we talk
Meanwhile something more simple, nothing spectacular, just clean run that is showing the right route. It still has similar slide in it, but much easier to perform. Not sure what to do with the ending,.. . .as usual
Yes I tried Rooftops and did it, got a 17.4 time with it, then I did it again, got a quicker 17.4 time without the time-saver, so I have to do it again with the time-saver. I also got a time of 29.9 on Urban Jungle by doing the bounce but slightly unsuccessfully, but I want to do it again with that bounce successfully, I'll do those 2 tracks again sometime soon, but not now.Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original postAlso, I'm not sure which is the harder time-saver, the time-saver on Icy Foothills to me is still the hardest time-saver, the one on Rooftops is annoying, but the success rate feels slightly higher imo, the one on Icy Foothills you have to do everything correct and precise, and it did take me a while to do as well.
Already looked at your Snowball Ride run, very good indeed, and showing that important time-saver as well, as for the final bit, I would actually worry about just completing that final obstacle, however I would normally put the back wheel on it first then lean forward to gain the momentum. My biggest concern on that track is the wooden plank 8 to 9 seconds in, that's the thing that sometimes doesn't work with me. Of course the time-saver again is very similar to the time-savers on Icy Foothills and Rooftops, but this one is easier to perform and has a much better success rate, and this one didn't take me long for me to get right either. Nicely done lesorsier.![]()
not sure which one is harder,... My guess is Rooftops, for one simple reason - nobody do it
Unfortunately you can't play my ghost (it is different then the video). As I said, it is much faster then regular route. Kartank caught me on finish line (for my mistake after the jump)
As regards Snowball Ride, if you look closely I lend on back wheel at the end. Just, as platform has an angle, there is very big chance of smashing the nose to the next platform
Wooden plank shouldn't be the problem if you have enough speed, which you get from previous jump.
Now, one more track with tricky swings and suspicion routes (going down could be better maybe)
Great run on Curves of Destiny, for some reason I've always struggled to land the jump using both swings, usually takes me a few attempts to nail it right, even then it's rare that I hit it smoothly, but as always you make it look easy.....Nicely Done Mate !!![]()
But nobody did the Icy Foothills time-saver either, but I guess I must have got lucky with the time-saver on Rooftops I guess, so I don't know, let's just say that both time-savers are improbably hard and leave it there.Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post
And for Curves of Destiny, nice run. Another track with multiple routes. I think you've got the best route there... It's more horizontal... So if you went down instead of going horizontal, you might have a slower time... I'm not sure how you even nailed the tricky swings near the start but that is very well executed. I would normally go down at the 9 to 10 second mark in the video, but I'm not sure if that would save time. It also looked like it could have been finished slightly quicker, but that's still solid. Nice.![]()
@FatalDragon69 Thanks man, I needed much more then a few to make it look like this,..just keep practice
@HeaverBeaver115 KarTank did Icy Foothills jump on IOS, (not sure for others) but he miss Rooftops jump. You think he didn't try?But I agree, both of them a hard to perform.
And you are right for the ending of Curves of Destiny, it should be faster with some bounce-slide-something.... (mess up the finish line syndrome hit me again)
Now, Widowmaker again. At the time I made the first video, question was just how to finish the track with the Donkey. This one is about how to plat it
Great vid, your ride seems so controlled everytime, how many tries you used before got this run?Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post
Is there other way to get over the highest part @14sec? I can't make the landing correct, it's stucks to the wood or a bit short and I have to take backwheelgrap to make it over.
I can't see me ever platting this with donkey, still having 0.3 sec over the plat limit with berzerker.
But finally, it's good to see that you are human also. I have to settle the bike so ofter to prepare for jumps like you did there at the last hard obstacle.![]()
This is weird, I did this a few days ago and made a major improvement on this track where I shaved 16/17 seconds off but still needed a bit of improvement, I still need to Platinum-ize it, I'm only less than 2 seconds away from Platinum. Does this tell me that I need to go back on this track again?Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post
It is nice of you to go back to a track and improve on it as well, it does help a lot, especially since it's a Platinum time as well, and it's a lot neater and precise. Most of the track is luck based though, especially the 4th obstacle where the only thing you can do is get your back wheel on it to send you across, since it's another of those obstacles which is awkward for the Donkey and where you need to resort to improvisation in order to pass it. I sometimes get stumped by the 6th obstacle at the 19 to 20 second mark in the run, but what you've done is lean forward at the curved ramp, sometimes I do that and then hit the middle bit with the back wheel but after that it doesn't work or I fall short so that's an annoying obstacle for me in particular, so maybe I would say that those movements need to be precise and shift at the right times as well. You didn't suffer from finish line syndrome in this run, it is wise to stop and think like you did on the last obstacle so you finished as neatly as you did and you still got a Platinum medal, if you rush something as important like that final section and mess it up, well you would instantly regret it and/or smash the phone. If you had to do this track again then you would have no time to stop to get those precious seconds off in the last section of obstacles. Great stuff.![]()
This obstacle stumps a lot of players, even I think this obstacle is the most ridiculous on the track. The method on how lesorsier tackled the obstacle is perhaps the best and safest and the most efficient method to do it, even if it doesn't look very efficient, but it's perhaps the only way you can get across, where you need to lean forward on the slope and then get the back wheel on the log just to get across, it looks like that it's the only way... I don't think I've got my back wheel on there the same way you can get with the Berserker normally... Again it's just awkward, the size of the wheels has something to do with it, and it's the same reason why you can't do the obstacle before that normally, because of the size of the wheels.Originally Posted by flooodi Go to original post
@ flooodi I can send you 9 min raw video, so you can see the problematic points as well as number of tries.
I guess there are many ways for the jump you asked. The best would be use speed from previous jump and fly over it. But that previous is my biggest problem in this track. As you can't use Berserker technique due to small Donkey wheels.
...somebody has doubts about am I human?))
@HeaverBeaver115 Well, year ago I also believed that all this jumps is luck based. But now, I have quite good success rates on all of them except on - the 3RD (not 4TH). This is still luck for me, as you can notice from the video. On the 19-20 maybe you don't need to lean forward, but you must hit the box somehow.
I didn't want o ruin the run at the end, but next time I won't stop. There is lot of time left on this track.
Now, I can't catch my own ghost on this one. Toilet runs can be really fastBut this look nice, and this track doesn't allow to mess up the end
as this ending is the point
And the new track: Safe Escape
Every ghost I check on IOS use more convenient route. I am trying something different here (not sure if it is faster)
