This was funny. I checked The Aqueduct and i was rank 2000+ so gave it a try to see what would happen. I started with no ghost, first run crashed, second run did new PB rank 115 lol... all that in under a minute. Loaded that ghost and then did 39490742 runs that failed until finally 25min later beat the second run by 0,3seconds finishing at rank 51. Brain works well for 1min then sucks for 25minutes then works well again.Originally Posted by flooodi Go to original post
HAHA, exactly the same. I did the 2second run also without ghost... :POriginally Posted by ChemicalD Go to original post
Well done!
I would just like to say that these videos have given me encouragement and inspiration.
A few weeks ago I was ranked as follows: Normal-143, Donkey-30 & Crazy-29
After using bonxy's and tf.lforo's sites and concentrating on rank for the normal leaderboard and faults or medals for the Donkey & Crazy, I managed to make some major gains all-around.
This is my current ranking: Normal-93 (+3 Million), Donkey-16 (+10 Million) & Crazy-12 (+12 Million)
I would also like to add that for the Crazy leaderboard I only improved on the Agent bike because on my Nexus 7 2nd ed. 2013 the Stallion's jump feature is so unreliable.
A big thank you to this community for both providing the tools to adequately track your progress and also being a kind and helpful place Iike all the Trials forums.
To the Donkey riders out there keep track of your medals on Bonxy's site and order them by medals from Bronze to Platinum, concentrate on Platinums or on hard long tracks just try for a higher medal with as little faults as you can. Work through the more harder and probably unfinished tracks in your own time.
One last thing: Donkey - Sledridge Gorge - 0 faults - 23.216 - Platinum
The ending is brutal with being mainly down to luck, the other night I was so persistent and determined to do it that after about 1½ hour I nailed the ending which is about a 1 in 20-30 tries for me the last jump.
...and little more of inspiration![]()
(don't be discouraged by middle jump,... it is hard)
Hey, that's not fair to put something like that out... now i will need to spend few hours in icy foothills.Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post
good job mate!
Awesome run, that middle jump (time-saver) you make is quality and you nailed it perfectly.....Great viewing as always, Nice one mate !!Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post![]()
Thanks for the heads up. I had tried the donkey on this track before the weekend and not surprisingly had major trouble with the last obstacle. I thought it was mostly just me being a noob but maybe not. After reading this i think i´ll leave this track for much later.Originally Posted by NOBBYHOBSON Go to original postCongrats on your scores, very nice indeed.
Watching that slide/jump made me giggle nervously like a small boy.Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post![]()
Thats what the videos are there for! Decent progress btw, I have seen you climb up a lot recently, I've seen you sweep past the 150M point mark, nice work.Originally Posted by NOBBYHOBSON Go to original post
Bonxy's site is so useful, Longshot Lake is showing as Bronze for some reason, even though it should be Platinum. What I will add on here is you can also start from your worst ranked track and go from there, or those which aren't Platinum but tend to mind that a few are really difficult to Platinum-ize, like Permafrost Climb, Chilled Cliffs, some of the Hardcore tracks, especially the Tier 2 and 3 ones. Or if you want oodles of points, you can do the ones that are between 22 and 30.7 seconds, and work on those.
A faultless time on Sledridge Gorge is an instant win and feels like an achievement in itself.
That jump is actually more difficult than it looks, although it's do-able but definitely one of the trickier time-savers in the game from the looks of it, it must have taken a while to get that in the run, but it was executed very very nicely... I wonder how tricky it is practically and how hard I will find it... Now Icy Foothills is on my to-do list again... Nice one lesorsier!Originally Posted by lesorsier Go to original post
It will make anybody look like that, but it's because the bike isn't suited to the slope and it becomes a pain 10000-fold. Did you check the other thread in which someone has the same problem? I gave an explanation there and Lesorsier has even put his video there too, if that helps...Originally Posted by ChemicalD Go to original post
I did see the video Lesorsier posted on that thread, i´m glad he posted it because i was thinking Sledridge Gorge was actually Frosty Plumbing, meaning i thought the thread was discussing the last obstacle on Frosty Plumbing with the sliding log. When i saw the video i realized i had the two tracks confused.Originally Posted by HeaverBeaver115 Go to original post
I read your explanation and watched the video, they help for sure. As is the case with many of Lesorsier´s videos he makes it look easy so the last obstacle kinda goes by "unnoticed". I even played on that track for 10-15 min a few days before the thread and even though i failed that last obstacle 99% i just dismissed it as me being a noob. I´ll take your word and NobbyHobson´s word for how difficult that last obstacle actually is though and worry about working on this track later. Still have lots of easier tracks to catch up on.
