I want to start off by saying i love the beta. i haven't had this much fun in a beta in a very long time playing a video game. The chaos in the DZ is hilarious and i really like the lawlessness feel it has to it. everyone plays by there own rules and i find that very entertaining and provides unique experiences. PVE is great also very tactical and rewarding. Its really forces communication. The enemy AI on hard shocked me. They flank and push forward when they have numbers or fall back and hide when the player has the advantage. i love it.
Being as this is a beta i would like to add some feedback to help with the research you guys are doing to refine it. These are just somethings that i can tell will be annoying in the final build if not fixed or modified.
1. Dodge roll needs a cooldown.
i understand that dodge roll is vital to evading grenades or enemy fire in the open but many people have seen it being abused. Since there is no cooldown for it after you finish players can actually use this as a mode of transportation. Spamming dodge rolls in the DZ is prevalent when some one is about to die and trying to escape. This makes for chaotic attempts to shoot players that have no penalty for spamming it. in PVE AI players have high accuracy so it isn't as bad but it does take away from the tactical aspect if i can just constantly roll around everywhere.
2. Medkit need a greater cooldown or startup.
Same as dodge rolling, medkit can be used without penalty when facing players in the DZ. the heal is instant so this makes for players running out in the open taking a ton of damage and relying on the medkit to keep them in the fight. This takes away from the tactical cover based fighting that should shine in PVP. That coupled with the healing perk makes for less tactical gameplay since plyers know they can just heal without having to worry about an animation for healing delaying the process or a long cooldown time.
3. Controller schemes. *For PS4 mostly*
Not really a big issue but the option should be there to change the aim and shoot buttons to L1 R1 and the perk buttons to L2 R2. I believe a large amount of players prefer that layout. I personally do not like using the PS4 controller triggers to aim and shoot. it feels awkward to me. i just think the option to change it should be there.
4. Rogue System
there needs to be a way to not be considered rogue for shooting someone on accident. it can deter people from tryingg to be helpful to another group if one shot will make you rogue to them. Many times i have been considered rogue for defending myself or trying to help out fellow non-hostile agents. I can see this leading to people just not helping anymore so that they don't risk becoming rogue, getting killed, and having to wait to join back in when you weren't even doing anything that would classify you as rogue. Rogues also need a way to defend themselves from other trying to kill them. When you defend yourself it just adds to your timer even if you went rogue on accident.
Just a few of my thoughts. Like i said i'm loving this game very much. Flaws are expected since it is a beta but i do see some of these things hindering the final build of the game come its release. There a lot more problems that should be addressed that other can more effectively explain than i. These are just sime if the things i see a lot. Thanks for your time.
