I also see this as an issue. I was so excited to be one of the few recieving emails about Dev Blogs and stuff. But, I think, they backed out of this on porpuse and if the reason is what I think it is, I agree with them.

I think the reason was that by sending stuff exclusievly to someone wouldn't work. For example: gaming websites and magazines would apply for the same subscriptions and it would no longer be exclusive for the subscribers nor "private" per say. In that case, it would fail. In other hand, I think that a BOOM of information is really better than tiny bits everyweek. I think they called the best decision for the major of people even thugh I still wanted this weekly thing

Sad to hear that there has not been that much activity the last months especially for the backstage program
I assume/hope this will change soon due to E3. Seems to me they spend all their power into development to come up with big news in the next 2 weeks.

Nonetheless I generally think staying in touch with the people from day 1 would be good. Otherwise people do not really feel as a part of this game...
Hopefully the lack of communication is going to change towards release and afterwards.

I think it's understandable that they can't pump out content every week. They've already shown a lot of the game in good detail, so at best they could do bits about historical elements or such.
Just pretend that every moment spent not making backstage content is spent making a better end product!

Yeah, man. I was hoping for more stuff. I really dig the wallpapers they sent us. I still use one of them. But what really got me salty was not having been invited for the closed alpha. I felt I was participating enough on the forums (in quality) to having been picked. So, I'm butt hurt that I still didn't get to play the game (in its eary stage).

I guess I became a little spoiled, after having become a Game Changer for the EA UFC frachise.
