Should Ghost Recon 2: 2011 Final Assault be remastered/rereleased?

I strongly believe that Ghost Recon 2: 2011 Final Assault was the best game in the series, considering both the offline campaign and multiplayer. The multiplayer community was amazing and was going very strong up until the day the servers were dropped (hardcore clan following for 8v8 LMS). Should the game be rereleased?

I remember some GR2 maps being redone for GRAW2 and I was HEAVILY disappointed in all of them aside from Ghost Village. I nearly wanted to cry when I realized the devs had no idea what made the map Peninsula what it was (they took away ALL of the fog! Forget not being able to see across a 15ft stone bridge-- one could snipe across the whole map!). So, part of me would be skeptical of Red Storm's ability to remake these maps as it seems they are ignorant to what actually made them balanced, fun and condoning of very, very competitive online gameplay. But, I still think GR2 should be remade as it is the best in the series by a long shot.

    who's with me?

Do it! and with the blue ray disc and having to install games now on Xbox add the summit Strike too it.

I agree that Peninsula should not have lost the rain and fog, even the rain falling audio was a key atmospheric component. Bunkers, Ghost Village and Bonfires Night were done really well though. I'd be up for a remaster, but only as long as it didn't delay anything else being done.
I am still not over the Peninsula remake. I have no idea what the devs were thinking, or rather, that they were thinking. I would have been Ok with it being called Peninsula Clear Weather or some other alternate name to distinguish it from the map, but then again, I cannot see any point in remaking that map without the harsh weather!

And yes, I do remember the heavy rainfall sounds really adding to the atmosphere as silenced weapons were truly effective as it was very hard to hear them, let alone tell where the shots were coming from.
My favorite maps have to be Quarry, Peninsula, Ghost Village and Pagoda. I think the reason for Last Man Standing falling out as the favorite community game mode was due to the maps being kinda terrible and too wide open, it seems as if the devs assumed everyone preferred Sharpshooter. I had never heard of a Sharpshooter clan match until the GRAWs came around

If it's not in the actual dev planning it's NO. But if they can add it after the realease it's YES.

I would be beside myself if GR2 2011 and Summit Strike were remade .I remember the back of the GR2 2011 saying "the Best Military shooter on earth." It was too

GR2 never existed for me since it wasn't released for PC. I say go for it so I could play the campaign.
I'd be happy with the crappy graphics just give me proper controls.
