[dutscher-DE]

I've changed my name last here, where many of us add the country hint in front or back to their nicknames.
I did it also, with my uplay account and add -DE (stand for Germany=Deutschland).
But for some reasons my nickname didn't changed in my game at some points.

Now i play mostly in the bunker there is my old name.

And here a screenshot at every track stands my old name.



But not in leaderboards there is the right "dutscher-DE".

Maybe a leaderboard cache problem???

Hi Dutscher-DE,

That's bizarre I must say....
You can try to clear your caches yes, because the game clearly noticed you changed your nick, at least on the "online" part.
I will forward your case to the QA team and let you know

The changed nick shows up only on the global leaderboard. Your friends will still see your old nick. Same goes for the bunker. People that you have in your friendlist will still see your old nick (dutscher_sbf), but the people that you don´t have in your friendlist will see the new one (dutscher-DE).

i've changed the name via uplay online.
and i've tried to clear the cache, reinstall the app and anything!
let's check the qa where the problem is

I too changed my username a shortwhile back, and indeed in the leaderboards i see my new name, and in the bunker my old name. I´ve reinstalled the game twice since changing names but nothing happened, still get the old name in the bunker.

In regards to the friends list, i remember when Oficer_85 changed his username to TM_Oficer_85_GT. He was on my friends list with the old name and when he switched names my list started showing the new name. That has to mean the friends list updates. So in theory people on my friends list now see my new name (AlnicoV) and not my old name (ChemicalD). Can anyone confirm?

Also i´ve watched videos of bunker matches from both big_ligands and yoshiki-aoki on youtube, and at the end of the match you can see big_ligands is Jeff something and yoshiki-aoki is spelled differently, YoshikiAoki, with capital letters and no hyphen. That means they too changed their names at one point. Just as in my case their leaderboards show their new names while bunker shows the old name. I was matched up with big_ligands in the bunker not long ago and can confirm on *my* screen he was big_ligands, not Jeff something. Also both these guys are on my friends lists and what i see is their new names.

It´s actually quite annoying that in the bunker i see my old username and have considered just switching back. But if people see my new name in the bunker, and if people who have me on their friends list also see my new name then maybe i´ll just leave it as it is.

I still se you as ChemicalD in both the bunker and friends list on the leader board. So i guess the same goes for me (Haniterjeshevn was the old, Storelumo the new)
It looks like the new names are displayed publicly, but among uplay friends the old one remains for some reason.

Thanks, but actually on my friends list you´ve always been Storelumo. And i do remember playing you in the bunker (and losing :-) and there you were Storelumo too.

Does anybody have Oficer_85 on their friends list? Do you see Oficer_85 or do you see TM_Oficer_85_GT? For that matter, do you see Storelumo or Haniterjeshevn? Do you see ChemicalD or AlnicoV? Does the friend list update or not is what i´m asking.

Edit: while trying to figure out how to send a ticket i found this on the support page, regarding changing usernames.

"What's the difference between my Legacy Username and my New Username?
Your current Username will now become your ‘Legacy Username’, which cannot be changed, but will be saved permanently on your account.
Your Legacy Username is a personal identifier displayed in your account information page only, and is unique to you. Your Legacy Username will be required for old Ubisoft titles prior to October 14th, 2014.
Your New Username, a personal identifier as well, appears in your profile on Uplay.com, is displayed on Uplay consoles and PC (friends list included) and in-game for all the future Ubisoft titles, starting October 14th, 2014.

So yea i checked my account information page on uplay and it does say ChemicalD is my Legacy name(permenantly), and my (new) Username is AlnicoV. However it says our "old" Legacy name is only displayed on your account info page, why then is it also displaying in our own bunker? The Leaderboard should show the (new) Username, likewise the (new) Username will show up in the friends list, *not* the Legacy name. I assume this means in the bunker the other player will see your (new) Username, just as in his Friends List.

This doesn´t explainwhy Storelumo sees my Legacy name, and not my (new) Username both in the bunker and on his Friend list. Maybe i should just change back, two names is confusing and annoying.

Yep, I see you as Alnico-V. I remember thinking who the heck is this sending me gifts, then noticed ChemicalD had disappeared. Had to double check by looking at one of the maps I remembered being .001 ahead of you to confirm

Maybe i should just change back, two names is confusing and annoying.

I see you as AlnicoV in friends list, and in bunker leaderbord. But I get notification that I've received a gift from ChemicalID (tablet notifications)

Changing nick is confusing to friends, because we have some memories tied to nickname, so when lot's of my friends changed their names after now I don't know who they are :/ It's only your account I've managed to combine names because of notifications

I have the same problem since many months already.
For some reason i even have 3 names. My 1st name i used when i played, my Facebook account name and my new in-game name.
On different LB i see different names of myself and in the bunker as well )) :P

One more info which might be useful someday to you
A while ago me and G00nzi tried to find me the game DB to fix a bundle bug purchase and so on and it wasn't easy. The name which is still used in the Game DB is still my old username not the new one.
