From my limited experience you want point to point Physics joints and either set to hard with joint strength at 1 or soft with a high number for a bit more flexibility. it will take a lot of messing around to get a good feel.

Great. Thanks elCamsterino. I'm going to try this when I get home.

Ya, I just use Point-to-Point. Maybe your pivots are outta whack. To line up the limbs, the Joint has an option when set to Advanced called 'Combine Pivots'. Turn that off then you can move the second half of the pivot. What I mean is, one part is where the limb is, and the other is where it will be once physics takes hold.

Hey people. Apologies for the lack of updates, just haven't really had the time until recently. So I tried Jolan's method out a couple of nights ago, worked like a charm. Jolan, you're a legend. It's still not quite perfect but it's just a matter of tweaking the position of the pivot points to get the rider to sit right, other than that it works great. Thanks so much for the help and advice guys, it's been much appreciated. Cant believe it was so simple.

Glad I could help a little at least

The editor is a strange beast... once you start learning the way things work, the "logic" kicks in lol.

Look forward to playing it when its ready

I wouldn't hold your breath elCamsterino! Still, this was a massive help and I'm gonna get to spend some time on it over the next few days, so hopefully It won't be too long.
It's a strange beast indeed, I have a handle on a lot of it but some of the more advanced stuff still eludes me. There's only one way to learn tho. (Well, two, if you include the very helpful people on this forum.). Like you say tho, It does make a kind of sense once you get the logic behind it.
