    Hi,

    I have a question,

    I have a saitek x45 + throttle.
Is it possible to use the rudder key as
    the pushkey in teamspeak.
I do mean pushkey to talk.
    Teamspeak doesn`t recognise joystick/throttle
    keys.

Or is this a very stupid question?

I don't think so... the rudder is considered an axis, and I don't recall any provision in the Saitek software to have the rudder act as a button (like you can do with the hats).

Edit: I take that back. While it won't act as a button, you can use banding with it, so there may be a way to use it for PTT. Might have to experiment with that...

Map your little black button on the X45 throttle to CTRL and then set CTRL as the push to talk key. I actually have mine set to ALT,CTRL & SHIFT in modes 1,2 &3. That way in addition to the mode 1,2 & 3 commands I can also use the ALT,CTRL,SHIFT switch to increase programmability since I use an X45/MSFFB2 combo setup and cant use the pinkie switch to shift into the other modes. Pluss by doing that I can get more out of the 4 switches and the 4 way hat on my MSFFB2.

If you install the software everything will continue to work fine, but you can then assign keystrokes to the rudder rocker (provided you install the Saitek software in advanced mode). Make sure you have the correct drivers for your stick. If you've bought it recently they may not be the ones you can download from Saitek, as the X-45's have recently had a different chip installed in the base that requires you to use the driver supplied with the stick rather than the latest update off Saitek's web site.

Depends on how old your stick is.... the profiling software whether you get it from the site or the CD gives you much more programming flexibility. I would try the ones from the CD first.. if they dont work then uninstall them and go to the site. If you dont want to use the rudder rocker for rudder you might want to use it for flaps.

I banned my rocker to control left and right engines. It works well for taxiing. I use the latest drivers from the Saitek Drivers page.
