ubisoft, you cannot make a farcry game without map editor, i think you are underestimating how much time people spend using the map editor, it is a great tool and aside from the fact that the farcry series is amazing, the map editor has played a major role in me buying the farcry series and im sure im not the only one who feels that way, please ubisoft please i am begging you to please include map editor in farcry primal, or alternatively, release a seperate game titles farcry primal map editor, cuse then i will get that instead, i truly only care about the editor, the game is going to be great, but i just wanna create.
also don't bother telling me i should download udk or something if i want to create maps, i have it, i use it, it's hard, farcry map editor is fun. and it holds alot of nostalgia for me as it was the thing that made me decide i wanted to make game for a living, thank you ubisoft, for all the great time in your program, i hope there will be more to come.

With Far Cry 3 & 4 it is hard to know what percentage used the Map Editor because there will be a percentage that play around and use it for their own fun but don't upload their creations so we will never fully know - I believe they made it more novelty and that was what they wanted.
Coming from the Far Cry Instincts Series which was only on the Original Xbox and Xbox 360 with that game the single player was more arcade orientated and something you would go through maybe once or twice - those games IMO were actually built around the multiplayer which could be played in 4 player split screen on Xbox and 2 player split screen on the 360 - both consoles had upto 16 players online also.
The whole community on consoles were all about multiplayer and I believe the original Far Cry on PC had a large community back then with the game been something special when it released and also that game supporting mods on that platform.
So with Far Cry 2 we got the game multi platform with it pushing the single player in a big way - on the build up to the game they only really showed the multiplayer properly a month before, although the game had great hosting options and map sharing / rating it had a weak multiplayer - lots of the community from XB360 quickly left and some never returned - however others loved Far Cry 2s MP but in general 6 months after release it was the die hards sticking around for the duration.
I see it that the direction they went in slowly strangled the community and took away the freedom they craved, shame because there was so much potential and Far Cry did not have to be just about the single player experience - maybe the next big game will change things, I think it was right to leave the editor and MP out of Primal but at the same time would still love to see them return with the relevant changes to allow a new community to flourish, the SP also needs more DLC and support - the Yeti DLC with Far Cry 4 was a mess that didn't feel finished when it could have been a lot better.
Pretend for a moment that you're not a shill and see if you can figure it out.Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post

1. You're a Ubisoft fanboy
and
2. You obviously never played Far Cry Instincts/Predator, back in the day.
