    Far Cry 4 not working

So, I bought Far Cry 4 a few days ago, and I have been trying to launch it ever since then. I get to the launch screen but it immediately stops working. I have tried several different things to fix it, but none seemed to work. If anyone would be willing to help out, it would be much appreciated!

I have tried running the game as admin, to no avail. I have tried to update/revert the ubisoft client also to no avail. And lastly, I have deleted and re-downloaded the game, again to no avail.

do you have the minimum system requirements to run the game

you DO need a Quad core CPU , Dual Core Cpu's are not supported , many of the games main assets run off a 3rd CPU core or thread
Minimum supported Intel CPU is a quad core
    http://ark.intel.com/products/42915/...Cache-2_66-GHz
    # of Cores 4 = Physical processors
    # of Threads 4 = Logical processors

Minimum supported AMD CPU is a quad core
    http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AM...5FBGMBOX).html
The number of cores 4 = Physical processors
The number of threads 4 = Logical processors

    Far Cry 4 Minimum Requirements
    MINIMUM
    OS: Windows® 7 (SP1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 / (64-bit only)
    Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-750 or 3.2 GHz AMD Phenom™ II X4 955 <---*note* both are Quad core CPU's
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5850 (1 GB VRAM)
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
    Sound Card: DirectX-compatible
Additional Notes: Windows-compatible keyboard, mouse, optional controller.

    RECOMMENDED:
    OS: Windows® 7 (SP1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 / (64-bit only)
    Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-2400S or 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350 or better
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon R9 290X or better (2 GB VRAM)
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
    Sound Card: DirectX-compatible
Additional Notes: Supported video cards at the time of release: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or better, GeForce GTX 700 series; AMD Radeon HD5850 or better, Radeon R9 series.

Note: Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT officially supported.

what graphics cards are you using ? if you have an AMD GPU the 15.11 beta Drivers will cause the game to crash on launch , use older drivers
if your using an AMD card its the drivers........... AMD released a bad one that broke both FC3 and FC4 see
    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...-crashes-FC3-4

to fix it roll back to the 15.10 beta driver or use the 15.7 WHQL drivers

you can get both from this link
    http://www.guru3d.com/files-categori...sta-win-7.html

make sure you use DDU when uninstalling your current drivers in safe mode for best results
    http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html

if you have a laptop .. Intel video Chip-sets are Not Supported .. you need an Nvidia based GPU or an AMD based GPU with at least 1 gig of Vram
Direct X 10 graphics chips are not supported you can find a list of Direct X 10 cards here , they will not work with Far Cry 4
    http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video_g.htm

several Nvidia GT series Video cards are also not supported as they have too low of a memory bandwidth and not enough vertex and pixel shaders to run the game you need a GTX 460 or better or an AMD 5850 or better

make sure you have exited all backround applications before you launch the game see the list here of backround apps that are known to cause the game to fail to launch correctly ..see section #10

I have an AMD FX-6200 six-core processor. (also, 12 GB of ram and windows 8.1 on a 64 bit system) It's one of the newer models, I had read somewhere that it might just be a problem with the ubisoft launcher (I'm using it through steam). But I will be sure to contact the help desk, so thank you for their info!

ok good as long as you meet the minimum system requirements

try opening up the Uplay client (make sure you have the latest version installed, the version Steam installs is always outdated )

look in the left corner and open settings

try unchecking the option that says

Enable in game overlay for supported games < --- some systems have a problem with too many in game overlays

(i also suggest you shut off the Cloud save option in there , as that setting can lead to problems, like a corrupted cloud save )

you can also try to disable your Steam in game overlay ( i have mine off )

and again if you are using an AMD GPU , make sure you do not have the AMD 15.11 beta drivers installed , the game will not launch on them.

if you are using windows 10 , Launch Both .....Steam and Uplay as Run As Administrator and also verify your game files , some times if the game is missing a file it might not launch correctly

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator

    launch Steam

go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

    select properties

    select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems

If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client
Again its probably best to make sure you launch Uplay as RUN as Administrator when you do a file verify

Ok, so I checked, and it said I have the AMD 16 premium, not the 15. I tried to run it as admin, using steam and without using steam, and I still can't get it to launch. I already disabled the overlays, I made sure I had the lastest version, and I also verified the game files. Still nothing, it just gets to the launch screen and crashes.

its happening to me too, but however I was playing the game before just fine, was like 40 something percent on the campaing and everything was good but a few days back like almost a week from today now, it just stopped working. And when Im looking for Info its like most people say, it starts launching and it crashes in the first load before the game begins. ( the bar stops a little more than in the middle almost like in 3/4 of the loading ), always in the same spot and it says that the game stopped working. The only thing diferent now that I can think about its an Nvidia upgrade from the video card that I did a few days back, gonna try to see whats going on. Also all my Ubisoft games are crashing, not the other ones. the AC games also crash on start up and all the others I play for example BF4 work perfectly, is it something from Ubisoft?
