    Downgrade ?

Can we expect a downgrade due to the console or anything else ?

Now after some years, Ubisoft has become king in downgrade matter, they love to show/tease us with pretty awesome/beautiful games. But when the game comes out, we can just only witness that fact that they are selling us dream...

Come on, be honest with this and stop deceive us ffs.

I have been fortunate enough to play the game in Paris, and I can say, that the gameplay you see in the E3 preview is what the actual gameplay looks like.

OK thanks for the response, but I'm not really talking about gameplay, for sure it will be pretty much the same, this isn't what it make me doubtful, this is much more about the graphical performance and effects we have been able to see at the E3 for example. What it has been the case with Watch Dogs and I would also say the recent footages of The Division. Of course these are pre-release footage but when you watch it and after you play the game (e.g. :R6, WD) there is a lot of differences between the showcase and what it is actuallly and you have to admit it !

So in gameplay talk, the problem is that the games are based/focus for console, everything is assisted, limited in action and many things that making the game boring and not so immersive than it should be initially.

I'am a really big fan of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon licence since the first one and I've been really disappointed when it's became TPS instead of FPS and how arcade it is also became too. I really woulld like to enjoy this one, but showing us graphical content which will not the one that we are suppose to have is kinda "Misleading advertising".

I guess maybe I'm confused as to what you are asking then. I was answering in regards to the graphics. The gameplay graphics look the same as the gameplay graphics seen in the E3 trailer.

He ask that about the fact that many time Ubisoft showed kick *** graphics trailer at E3 to end with not the same rendering with final version !

Especialy Watch Dogs first E3 trailer and final version and I have to say R6 Siege first E3 trailer and the final version.

But for GRW what you saw at E3 was the graphics we saw in the studio !

Yep thanks you Ulukai, that was what I was wondering about, so I hope it will stay unchanged as you said, and then we will not able to notice any differences between what we saw and what we will have, but we will see. Thanks for your answers guys, and I wish you an Happy New Year !

Personally a downgrade wouldn't bother me really, depending on what got the axe. The one title that sticks out for the downgrade was Watchdogs and people flamed it for that, and personally I thought it still looked great and it was fun as hell, even if it did have a couple nagging points. So I guess we just have to wait and see what they release.

The things is that a downgrade is some kind of lie. When a editor show you a game with those renders, Watch Dogs, The Witchers 3, Alien Colonial Marines, Dark souls 2, Forza M5, Far Cry 3, MGS 4, FFXIII, Star Ocean 4, Halo 2, etc... they to deliver you the same quality as show but consoles are what they are false promises, by that I mean Microsoft and Sony told people games will give you this and that, games will be that resolution, have 60 fps etc... and they don't because they can't do it with new games but sure with old games remastered ! And for pc Sometimes it's because they didn't optimized the game as it should be and if release with the renders showed the game won't work correctly.

Now there's something else to consider, games that are sells on multiplatforms are expensive on console than pc, 60$ vs 40$ and knowing that many many people have a PC and a console, it's better for constructor they buy it on console rather than pc so to get more sells on console they give a little benefit for downgrading a little on pc so they can say it's not so different after all.

Downgrade is obligatory for consoles and it's a fact, I'll get my gtx 970 and my CPU fan -> they don't fitt in my PS4 -> hardware is completly different and consoles can't give the same things as pc tower. So downgrading on pc or hide settings is bad and non sense cause modders will allow us to do it anyway and then the Editor will just get pointed by fingers and people will loose trust on them.

I'll happily take downgrade if it makes game more stable. After all graphics aren't that important.
