Data center selection is now possible (PC users only, for now)
PC users can change their default data centers in the Rainbow Six game settings file (gamesettings.ini), which is usually located in the ‘My Documents\My Games\your Uplay ID’ folder. Change the DataCenterHint value from ‘default’ to the region’s short name that you wish to have as your default data center. The available region short names can be found just above the DataCenterHint line.

Do I have to launch the game 1st then exit to see this info?
My ini does not have what is noted above.

Because of my experience with this game and its horrible, absolutely horrible servers and the response to fix it has been abysmal I have cancelled my pre orders for farcry primal, south park the fractured ******** and the division. If this is the best ubisoft has to offer with a multiplayer only game I have no faith that any of these games. Ive put 9 days into this game and in the run of a 5 hour play session I actually only play for about 2.5. The rest is dc's, smoke screens and synchronizing data.

Is it possible to combine the regions like

DataCenterHint=us east & us central &us south central & us west

Ubisoft could fix EVERY issue and then theirs a person like this man who can never be satisfied yet knows exactly how to fix the game lol

Since the patch my framerate has dropped considerably, it's slight better if I modify the multi-sample anti-aliasing to the temporal setting. Prior to the patch I was hitting 120+ FPS on my dual 980m's in SLI. Now I'm sitting at around 30 FPS with AA off, and 50-60 with it set to temporal. WTF happened?

Wow I am disappointed with the tick rate and data centers STILL not being updated, 2 betas and 2 updates later...I swear this is like BF4 all over again smh.

I'm hoping they at least get the matchmaking fixed where I can find a ranked game or not sit there waiting for ONE PERSON to join smh

As for the updated estimated time, maybe it will reflect the 1 hour and 36 minutes to find a ranked match lol

Thanks Ubisoft for the update ! After testing last night thoroughly (20-30games) i got 0 disconnections, 0 sync. data errors, my ping (after changing my center to WEU) was constantly 50-60ms and otherwise had a blast with my gang. We are team of 8 players located in Finland and none of us had any prior problems whatsoever last night after the update. So for 8 of us i want to thank you for this 'cause we were getting frustrated about the issues. But this gives us great hope for the future !

Could you do something about players leaving the ranked match. The 10 min ban is not a good enough punishment. How about demoting them for 2 ranks for being ****ing cowards???

Would love to be able to join a friends lobby without having to wait for an invite (or go out of the game) on an Xbox One. A minor issue, but would help getting people together a bit easier.
