I'm hoping RL is working on a fix for this event, however at this time the final results are looking bleak for a lot of players. So I'm requesting that the event be extended by 1 week, in addition to a change in the way tracks are awarded. For every 30 gifts opened we are awarded 1 track. This would be 180 gifts total necessary for all tracks (210 if we're including skater's paradise). This of course would work retroactively for all the gifts we've already opened, as long as that information is still stored somewhere. I think the extra week would be enough for full collection if people had been grinding the event at a pretty decent pace already.
Note that this basically equates to a 3% drop rate per track. I already think that's too low. I'm actually curious what the drop rate really is, because mine is less than 1% atm. The problem with drop rates at less then 5% is that you start getting really bad outliers, which I think we've seen with this event. I'm surprised RL didn't foresee this, and if they did why it was acceptable.
I haven't gotten a track in over 10 days and I'm losing faith.
Adding a single week wont do it with those drop rates. I have gotten around 39K in two weeks now, and was event IOS #1 and IOS top 2-3 those times. Thats under 100 gifts a week, spending gems freely to get THAT far. If I dont get the tracks trying my best over an entire MONTH, then I woudlnt really be inclined to grind another week or more (spending more gems, etc) just to save RL the trouble of doing a little legwork in their OWN event timeframe. I will have more than met their grinding requirements following their stated event times as it is; they should be competent enough to be able to detect that effort, and reward the tracks without me having to do more.So I'm requesting that the event be extended by 1 week, in addition to a change in the way tracks are awarded. For every 30 gifts opened we are awarded 1 track. This would be 180 gifts total necessary for all tracks (210 if we're including skater's paradise).
Personally I dont care how they go about "fixing" their issue ... but those who can show they tried hard in this event should have a way to receive the tracks they earned that they are not being given (that WERE given to others who did far less). They know the code best, and can figure out the most efficient way to do it.
I mentioned the week extension because of my suggestion to change the way gifts were rewarded. Most of us who grinded really hard would get all the tracks immediately after said changes, and thus no more griding. We would have opened enough already to be rewarded the full set. An extra week is for changing the way the event works and giving a little more time to those who would have originally been left in the dark and unable to meet the gift requirement.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
A week more of this f... event? Seriously?
Every single week collecting this beautiful xmas parcels ( nearly opened 200 "gifts" until now) I was 0,2 - 2% in LB... and... surprise... tralala - except skater paradise - NO NEW TRACK!!!
Tons of parts (got all the bikes maxed), magnets, a few gems, money...and - isn't it just obviously a little bit curios that there is not a single reply by developers concerning threads of xmas-event?
It isn't fun anymore, just annoying.
That sums it up for me as well. The whole idea in the OP assumes RL knows how much we did so they can retroactively reward us. If they knew that much then they can just reward us with no need for an extra week. If they dont know what we did, then as was pointed out above, an extra week is not nearly enough to help everyone reach the track goals (and would be very very irritating). Makes no sense to me.Originally Posted by hansdampf15 Go to original post
I don't think the event will be extended,if RL says this is not a bug,the devs on Christmas vacations,so no tweak to the system before the event ends, double offer of jems from tapjoy.
All these pointing to the availability of tracks for jems after the event ends.
My idea on a 1 week extension is simply because we'd have a change in the ruleset. It doesn't really matter. It would really just be some well deserved down time lol. I feel top 1% definitely deserves all the tracks, and probably top 10% (I've always been top 0.1%).
Someone else already said this in another thread: tracks should have never been included in this RNG event. Stallion one - you KNEW you're getting the tracks if you grind a lot, and you also had the ladder with the list of prizes so you knew it's up to you to get them. This time around, they're saying tracks are being treated as "gifts".... we can debate gifts to the moon and back IMO. But lvl5 bike parts are not equaling tracks, no matter how much they would want us to think they are.
Just got my 4th track after 200+ gifts I do not think I Will be able to get the last 3 maps and lose my top 100 spot that I just acquired from getting other maps that I didn't have not from this event.
