Any internet drop out will result in no connection to uplay in game for 10-30 minutes

As the title says, if my internet drops out for any small amount of time (even as brief as a few seconds) while connected to uplay in-game, I will not be able to connect to the in-game servers for about 10-30 minutes. The actual connection to Uplay itself will be fine and even reconnect automatically. Restarting Uplay and Steam will have no effect and I will always have to wait a random amount of time before being able to connect to uplay servers in-game.

Looking at what goes on using Wireshark, what normally happens is an exchange of UDP data to establish a connection. When I'm in the state that I can't connect to Ubi servers in game, there are UDP packets sent to 216.98.48.89, but with no response back at all.

Is there any workaround to this inconvenience? This is particularly a problem if I get a good run on a track and my internet just happend to drop for a brief moment during that, I pretty much can't submit the run unless I wait a long time .

    Hello Waistless,

I never heard of this problem, does it still happen?
When you mean "No Uplay connection", do you mean the Uplay application or the connection to the servers in game?

    Cheers,

Only the connection to the servers in-game. Uplay itself will always reconnect fine. (and as I said, restaring trials & uplay does not fix the issue, always have to wait an amount of time before I will able to connect to in-game servers)

Happened again after the original post, only took 5 minutes for in-game to reconnect that time. It's still quite random how long it takes to start working.
