Hello Ubisoft and people.
I love this game I have been playing a lot since the launch.
However, ever since the update I have been having random hard crash to desktop. I will just shut itself down like I pressed Alt+F4. No error message, no nothing.
I am playing this on my brand new laptop with specs here:
ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71
Intel Core i7-4720HQ Quad (2.6GHz)
16GB DDR3-1600 RAM
1 TB - 7200 RPM SATA
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M 2GB
15.6" 1920x1080
------------------------------------
so far, I have tried
1. disabling in game steam and uplay overlay,
2. re-install
3. delete gpu driver completely and reinstalling the latest driver.

Thank you!
I have the same problem, random crash, no errors, just back to desktop. Is very frustrating.Originally Posted by Ubi-Rae Go to original post
Hello everybody,
had the same issue with the display driver (Nvidia) when switching to Win10. The following should help:
1.a Deactivate automatic driver updates: https://windowsinstructed.com/disabl...in-windows-10/
1.b If you haven't done so, download and install the lates driver for your graphic card from nvidia (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx). Be sure to activate the checkbox "Perform a clean install" (http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...ers-set-up.jpg).
2. Set graphic card to prefer maximu performance: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answe...um-performance
--- This should already help you getting rid of the most annoying problems (crashes in everyday operation, e.g. surfin with Firefox) ---
--- Step 3 is only important for modern Ubisoft Games (R6 Siege, Division, etc.) ---
3. Get yourself a Nvidia tuning tool and slightly lower your core clock:
MSI: https://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner
ZOTAC: It's calles FireStorm, but I don't use it and the Zotac site is kinda pain in the ***, so go find yourself. (alternate source: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html)
... or simply use a generic tuning tool to do the job.
You should try lowering your core clock -5%
Example 1020Mhz: 1020*0,05 = 51MHz
For me (MSI GTX760 TwinFrozr), I lowered the core clock app. 48MHz and there's no more crashing while playing Ubisoft games (R6 Siege).
If lowering the core clock won't do the job, try also lowering your memory clock by the same percentage.
FYI: If runnin a stress test (FurMark) on my GPU, even after hours with full load there's no error (core temperature @ 80°C max.). I play all other (high end) games with standard timing / clock and there are also no such errors (core temperature @ 65°C max.). So, don't worry your graphic card's might broken.

Terrorist hunt. 4 guys left. Know how once you kill the fourth to last guy the last three rush you?
I kill the fourth guy.. Screen crashed to desktop. I come back and guess whose dead.
Hint - it wasn't the three terrorists.
I almost threw the computer out the window. But I laughed it off.... UBIsoft.. Lol. Got me again!!
