Talking to a friend I brought up For Honor, since he's a big "viking history" kinda guy, and he went to look at the site for the game and spotted something that really irked him. I wouldn't have spotted it myself. Mostly because I'm more interested in the Knight faction personally. Anyway.
The description text for the Raider says that he's carrying a gladius, a roman sword. Looking at the art for the Raider, the sword he's holding is not a gladius.
That's all.
That irked me a bit too, when I first saw it, but seeing as the sword he's holding is not an actual gladius, I was less annoyed.
It looks like they took some liberties with an Ulfberht, which were late Viking Age designs (9th to 11th centuries), when the old Viking sword designs were transitioning into the more European sword designs the Warden uses.
It makes me wonder, though, why they would call it a gladius at all. It's just weird. I do hope they change the description for the final game, or when they actually release gameplay of him, for the sake of accuracy.
