I think the Xmas event should be seen as light and funny extra content that can give you little gifts along the way, like an advent calendar XD
Ofc there is also the possibility to win great rewards, like new tracks or paint jobs, but it has to be an event accessible to everyone.

WOW.....Shocking.....Sorry, but it's got to be said.....I thought we had more of a mature community here, what's with this ungrateful attitude.....Everyone wants everything straight away.....No patience at-all !?!?

Seriously, Chill out people, it's Xmas and the event hasn't long started either, so there's PLENTY of time to collect everything (around 20days left I think) so you're going to get a lot more parts between now and then PLUS everyone will get the new tracks and the other items in that time as well.....RedLynx will have geared it so that we don't get everything right away, this way we keep playing the event until the end, so I can't see them making it so that some people don't get some of the new tracks or items, as long as we play through the whole event we'll get everything eventually !!

There's no point shouting and moaning because you haven't got everything instantly, because if you did, then the event would become pointless !!

If you already own most of the items then you're going to get more parts unless they decide to tweak the prizes as the event progresses (which I hope they do) as they won't give out 2 & 3 of the same item but every now and then we get a new track or item we don't have but other than that it's going to be parts for now !!


My advice is to just relax and enjoy the event and the festive holidays as well.....It could of been a lot worse as they could of gave us another crazy and boring grind-fest event but they didn't, this event is a lot more laid back which allows us to play and win new items and tracks while not messing with our real lives, I prefer this event structure, more laid back and less stressful, So I say.....

Really? Immature and ungrateful. Im offended by you not understanding what i meant. And clearly your happy to not know if your going to get the prizes on offer or not.
The grind as you call it ensures that with time you will get all that is on offer.

I do like that idea, it totally makes sense and fits well with the game spirit. We already send golden tickets to friends, why not parts we don't need.

That's the problem, we won't. Maybe some of us will, maybe even most of us, but since it is random, it means that someone will be left out, even if there is a 99% chance that you'll get all the tracks. For those of us who care about the competitive part of Trials (which to be honest is the biggest part) this really sucks, and is poor game design.

At least you can get the weekly tracks! I lost all access to the event leaderboard its like Im no longer part of the event! LOL event accessible to all players

It's a good point. I will pass 30k points before these 1st 7 days are done; in the top 10 out of 117K players for the week.

That's 73 attempts. Only got the one free track at start. I know I need 6 tracks and 7 outfit parts... But I have not seen one in over a day. Honestly... If the drop rate stays about this constant... I might NOT get them all in the 21 days left. And then there are people (not naming anyone specifically) with half those attempts who might have 4 tracks already....

Look we all know the tracks are the only IMPORTANT content for most of us. I am not panicking yet, but I am a little pissed. What kind of contest does not reward the leaders for... Leading? Seems like I can "win" but still lose. I use my skill and am far behind in all the places that matter.

At what point should we stop calling it randomness that will all work out in the end... And start considering that perhaps it's a bug? I don't think we are there yet, but I would like to hear someone who is currently happy provide a date at which even they think I can officially be concerned....

Or better yet. Just get a Dev response to tell us that they KNOW this will all work out if you just try hard (like I am). That's all I am wanting.

I think FatalDragon69 has the right reaction on that matter, it has been just a week the event started, we have 3 weeks left, so there is no reason to be angry/frustrated/anxious yet.
The rewards are random, and I can understand it is unnerving when you are very engaged in the event but not receiving the presents you hope for.
I checked again to be sure with the devs, and there is absolutely no bug in the event, everything is working as intended.
So for now, I would suggest to relax, enjoy the event, and trust our RL team (and the Xmas spirit) that came up with a great event
I would also like to point out the fact that the event is designed to reward long term engagement, so stay motivated!!

I got my last costume (Birdman head) on 14.12., since there only parts, 2 refined fuels, 1 time coins, magnets, gems and a donkey blueprint. And I have just 1 missed round of gifts.
If there would be a costume/paintjob/map every like 5 gifts, I would be total cool about it. Of course even then there would be players who rage about it (like "nah, I don't wanna get the costumes, just the maps") but then everyone would have the realistic chance of getting the maps.

This way, it's just total random and doesn't represent the players skill (or time effort).
In nearly all other events, players got their prize based on this to values. Even if it was hard to get every prize, it could be done. Now, with this RNG and no possibility of speeding up the time counter for the 4h-races, skill just doesn't matter at all.

70 gifts open
2 paintjobs
7 outfit parts
50 gems
NO TRACKS
and a **** load of magnets and spare parts(for 60 gifts!!!)

A "good" reward of 7!!!
TOTALLY LUDICROUS RATIO!!!!

for the last 3 days i opened 30 gifts for 3 magnets and 27 spare parts...kinda funny isnt it???

And for the info i'm not in a hurry,I already have 7 races waiting to be played for over a month(tier 2 and 3 pack),but they are here and I can play them when I want...
but for now I am in hope to potentially recover 6 tracks without even knowing if it's possible with my current luck(yes LUCK or should i say Fuc.... broken algorithm) and no skills or grinding fest involved...very rewarding...

tbh they should had put less tracks in gifts and more cosmetics, i bet all of you would have preferred to get an halloween mantis paintjob or valentine bronco instead of 2 tracks because, at least, if you don't get them, it doesn't interfere with LB ranking. And people like me would had a chance to get those

So true; now I wonder what I was thinking; I actually called the event skill-based! I had no appreciation for how much having random rewards would drive me crazy.

Got 2 more outfit pieces... No tracks. I am now down to needing 6 tracks and 5 outfit pieces. . . Surely my luck must change soon. I will make it give me one by sheer number of attempts, apparently....
