Random & huge brightness changes on my track.... How ?

    Hey,

2 days ago I released a track "SP- Planet Core" on Xbox One. The track is in overall pretty dark but still bright enough for the player to see.

.....Well it should be. While the track appears bright enough for some players, for the others some parts such as the end are pitch dark. Have a look at this screenshot taken by Haarmes on PC :

You can clearly see a brightness difference. On the right is how it's supposed to be, according to the settings I put.

Now here's the ending, with correct brightness :

And here's how it is when it's darker :

Now here's the problem. Waistless played this track, brightness was alright. He then left to play another track & came back to this one a while later, here's what happened :

Pitch black again... On a side note, I played the track on Xbox One, and it worked fine just as meant to. But then I played it later on PS4 and it was much darker. And I saw another players giving it a try, while brightness was fine for one, it wasn't for the other. So how is this happening ? I put the sun angle at 90 degrees & made it bright enough so we can still see clearly. Is that thing pure RNG ? Or something else ?

EDIT : Replayed the track again on Xbox One. Ending was pitch dark. Replayed it once more in the editor & lighting worked fine.

As psykoz says, loading up other tracks then returning to this track causes changes in the lighting. Watching carefully it seems as though sometimes lights just aren't being loaded.

Out of curiosity Psykoz, how many overall visible lights are there when you play throughout the track? (Open up track in editor, turn on the stats overlay using the right stick). The only way this occurrence could not be a bug is if you used far far too many lights on the track causing some to simply not load.

Having said that it should still be ideal that non-loading lights be at least consistent, so that these issues can be avoided.

If Redlynx needs footage of this being reproduced, I'll upload

edit: also the lighting at the end varies wildly, it even got darker at one point (fresh restart of trials fusion): http://steamcommunity.com/id/Waistle...82272570439247

I looked up that in the editor, and the visible lights go up to 11. So I doubt it has something to do with that.

Do you have your lights glued and pivot on the Driveline?
