    Weapon - The Blowpipe

DISCLAIMER: Writing this as of December 2015 after having seen the youtuber invites to L.A for the pre-alpha. I apologise if any of this has been considered and rejected or is in the alpha release but has yet to have media coverage.

A Blowgun could be a formidable tactical weapon, while not powerful or fast it is used with specific effect.

Sedative Dart: Can be used to progressively slow down a target, particularly game that tends to flee before or during a fight, after a period they drop into a sedated (but not dead) animation. Certain levels of craftable toxin will work for certain tiers of game, lower doses will have no affect on prey higher than its rating.

Hallucinogenic Dart: More for human enemies, shoot them and watch them turn on their allies, I imagine this could be adapted to the existing Friend or Foe mechanics.

Rationale: A different weapon with a different tactical purpose, not designed to make a kill but facilitate one.

The problem with the bow and arrow, the spear, the slingshot, and the blowgun, is that they are all stealthy, and they all use the same mechanics. 1 shot reload, hope you don't miss. And sure the same can be said about guns having the same mechanics just different skin, but with guns you get a larger variety of damage, speed, accuracy, etc.

In my opinion the ones and ones of weapons offered in Primal, are all the same. Sure the spear does more damage while a bow can shoot further. But I still feel like they are all too similar?

HorTyS: It is more an aim to get the attention of developers and designers before it is too late, so instead of having a broad, ambiguous title this might set off something that was considered in earlier stages but they were on the fence or threw out before getting feedback ideas from fans (which I am hoping to capitalise on).

Fossil Cookie: What I can elaborate on that with is your spear being both melee and a fairly powerful, albeit close range weapon will be your "battle" weapon and this was typical in the Neolithic period onwards that bows were often used for hunting while spears and javelins were more flexible in combat, yes bows were used in war and spears to hunt but both had their strengths in certain arenas.

Where my suggestions come in is to "tactically" add to the mix and not another weapon that has different "stats".

I think the devs could see a single thread and get all the info they need, they'd probably prefer it... not that any feedback we give now will have any effect on a game thats out in 2 months, not that it would've 8 months ago...
