    I would just like to point out that when we visited the studio last year, the PC version of the game was being developed concurrently with the console versions. There was no "lead platform" at that point in time.

    That said, a "lead platform" tends to emerge later in a games development, when corporate interests from Sony and Microsoft begin pursuing exclusivity deals to increase console sales. Obviously if you're a game developer and you enter into a partnership with a large corporation for marketing and exclusivity, you tend to start focusing on that platform. This is smart from a business point of view, and it's also a necessity of AAA game development in this day and age.

    Hopefully the PC version of Wildlands continues to evolve and develop concurrently with the console versions to fruition, rather than us getting ported in code that's tweaked (or not, in some cases) at a later point that result in a less than savoury experience...

    I think the core gameplay mechanics was locked a long time ago (like bs paladin said in here a while ago)... and the fact that the 'pc users only' and 'console users only' threads was Never "stickied" kinda points that way dos'nt it 😉

    They were stickied for a week or so each. I know because I stuck them.

    The main purpose of the threads was related to some of the community calls we had with the developers on Skype back when the threads were first started. We passed on a lot of feedback from the console and PC threads to the developers.

    I understand Capitalism, I really really do but, my problem with this is that, if they are going to tell me that I can also buy the PC version for 50 or 60 bucks (whatever the retail price is), I don't want excuses as to the why I can not play it the day I purchased it or that I must wait for a 10 to 20 GB patch, erm, I am sorry, the politically correct word is "Update" and that could take from 2 hours to 2 days depending on whether UBI's server took a crap midway. I don't want to hear how complex it is to code me being able to use my mouse and keyboard instead of the controller that was coded with the game and by the same good point you just made about partnerships with Sony and Microsoft, the PC community is nothing short of a red headed step child taking the short bus to school.

    Why do you think that I have been harping so much about them showing us some of those good feedback from the community they have been telling us they have passed to the devs?

    But let's be positive and hope for the best... after all, they promised to change and told us this time around they are listening to us.

    Concerning this so called lead platform, I would expect Xbox One considering Ubisoft with Rainbow Six Siege and The Division, but a day or two ago there was a PS4 branded Ghost Recon Wildlands trailer on YouTube, on the official PlayStation channel. It has the PlayStation and all that, but I'm pretty sure it got taken down because I can't find it now.

    EDIT: Ahahaha found it https://youtu.be/ig2d1RAnKXs Anyways this raise some suspicion from me concerning special treatment on PS4. Honestly I've always seen Tom Clancy games as a PC thing, then and Xbox thing, and almost never have I seen a PlayStation owner that plays any Tom Clancy game.

    Been saying that since the game was announced... this forum is a mess because the pc and consoles are mixed... let the PC and Consoles have their own subforum, so it will be more organized.
    Me as a PC user and long time ghost recon player, want the PC version as FPS, but since we got the forum mixed, the console guys come and post they want it TPS, and its obvious since the game in consoles was alway TPS, but on PC it was always (until the failure GRFS) TPS.

    Spot on, that's why I don't play on consoles, I love my Pc FPS and have done since OGR and R6 RS. Cant stand TPS and that's why I didn't bother with The Division.

    That was not really what I was talking about

    I do agree though.. the forums would be a lot simpler if they were split up into "platforms"..

    Btw.. ghost recon was FPV on consoles to in the beginning! OGR and GR Island Thunder to be exact..
    I think it was Socoms succes on the PS2 that made them go for TPV in Ghost Recon 2 and forth on consoles... I prefered the gameplay in FPV any time!

    This is true. Heinz was with the Ghost Foxes for some time on GRAW 2, but on BF he came into his own with the FPV. I could only get XP in BF3 if Heinz let me run gunner seat in his tank.
