    Predictions.Sales of game

This just my personal opinion. I believe this is going to be the worst selling far cry game in the series. Based on not having a map editor, no multiplayer and no coop. Also if the price is 60. I have also seen an hour of game play. Looks very boring to me.. Time period is fine, but the lack of guns, vehicles and buildings with no map editor will make this a 20 dollar game in less than two months.. No replay value what so ever..

This is actually a good thing. Because may be some of these bonehead executives with see the importance of keeping the map editor in the game.

Second prediction. The next far cry will have a map editor and the games sale will increase.

    Let's see if I'm right...

The game looks good, but doesn't looks promising to me. I hope its not repetitive or this will be my last Ubisoft.

I think sales will be just fine. Some fans of the franchise might skip it because it`s too different, but I think new customers will more than make up for that.
Eg. the other day a friend who has never had any interest in Far Cry seemed very hyped about Primal.

The pricing kinda turns me away. For comparison the Just Cause 3 price is 409 NOK. Primal:

    PS4/Xbox 1: 529
    PC DVD: 449
    PC download: 549

Does it really cost them 22% more to have people download it for an hour than produce a physical copy?

I think Primal appeals to PC gamers and Console gamers looking for a survival game. Up until now PC gamers have had ARK, DayZ, the list really is endless. All these survival games, where you can build a house, and the AI attack at night, or it's just online and you get KOS'd.

Now look at Primal. You can tame aniamls, craft weapons, attack and CAPTURE enemy camps!? That's gotta look like a huge leap in surival games. But as for Far Cry fans it's a step in the wrong direction. I wish they had marketed this as a new title all together, instead of attaching the Far Cry name to it. I don't have crazy high hopes for sales, but I think for console players drooling over all these PC Survival games, it will be huge.

    Yes I believe your right.

It looks like Ubisoft is trying to jump ahead of another game that in steams early access.. Ark: Survival Evolved. Now that game looks good.. But what I saw on Primal so far is just not appealing to me. Besides that I like the map editor, co op and the older multiplayer game modes on far cry..

I really wish Ubisoft would expand on thier map editor.. But after this game comes out I'm sure they will do something. Because this game is not cutting it..

I don't think anyone who pays any attention to gaming in a serious fashion is under the mis-guided impression that Primal will be anywhere near the level of "survival game" that the examples you listed are. It's fair to say most people realize this is just a far cry game in the stone age... for all that implies...

For what it's worth according to VGChartz 45000 people in the US have preordered a retail (PS4) copy of the game.Landing it on the number 18 spot on the preorder list.

I have no idea how the preorder situation was with FC4,maybe some of you giys can remember?
