I'm really excited for this game!! It's looking awesome.... Totally my kind of game..
Heres as a few things I would like to see in the game!
1) please let us put away/holster our weapon this time..... Is the one thing that always bugged me about the FARCRY series, alway running around with a gun stuck to my hand, climbing, jumping, sneaking..... Let me put the weapon away! Please please Ubisoft. This really bugs me in games....
2) Traps - are an under developed mechanic in games.... Has anyone seen the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4? Check out the awesome use of trip rope/wire traps... And herding the beast into the traps.
I hope this game has proper creative traps, that can be useful! Traps could be a really cool feature in Primal
3) proper hunting! Please if I wound an animals, I should be able to track it following the bloody trail! Not hard to do - Rise of the Tomb Raider had it, as well as other games (the Long Dark - excellent survival game, u could track wound animals following blood trails!)
4) When in the snowy parts of Oros you can only survive so long because of the cold. Please give us the ability to make our own 'anywhere' little campfire to keep ourselves warm, if it just becomes a case of wandering back to preset bonfire locations, that feels less dynamic.
5) let there be a proper HARD/SURVIVAL mode.... Less resources, harder to tame animals, enemies are tougher, less health, and you have to hunt and eat food to regain health..!!!
6) please let there be Dinosaurs ........ You did a survey, everyone wanted Dino's so please Ubisoft, give us some Dinos, maybe in a remote part of Oros.... ? Maybe as DLC?
Hi, im another one who thinks that survival/hardcore mode should be a definite option, and if it is at all possible, then i think suvival mode should be without the recon drone (owl), without crosshairs, and without minimaps. and with a rougher looking map.. is what i think would be really cool. And please, dont put dinosaurs in the game...
How about getting rid of the take downs and automated game play sequences and let players actually do something in game besides follow a damn screen prompt. It might cut into profits a little bit but think of the good will it would generate. Of all the Far Cry releases, Primal should be the most stoic of them all by definition.
I forgot ......
1) Definately yes - a robust melee system, blocking parrying etc.... I was just watching gameplay and it seemed like this guy was just stab stab stab stabbing this enemy... I just hope there's more to the combat than that.
--> the stealth kills work fine in this game, and having an icon appear letting you know when you in range to make your kill is fine. They don't need to change that. Trust me I've played so many stealth games in my time.
i really feel that the tone for this game should be Apocolypto or Last of the Mohicans kind of vibe.....
but but yeah the Survival/HARD Mode should have,
- less resources available
- harder enemies
- harder to tame animals
- harder to replenish your health, you would have to hunt and eat ++ perhaps even find certain plants to mix for healing?
2) Dinosaurs - cmon guys? We needs something more impressive than woolly mammoths and essentially re-skinned animals from FC4. Just think Dinos could be a DLC - but they look epic and a bit more exciting than the usual bears, lions wolves mix....
I hope Ubisoft understand that a new map and the animal taming system won't carrying this game alone.
You could actually choose not to use the taming remember - so that play style is covered ....Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post
dude I hate QTEs...... But you couldn't really accuse FAR CRY of having too much of that nonsense. The Gameplay is pretty open.Originally Posted by scrapser Go to original post
For ranged attacks no I could not. But with the take down system for close range it boils down to getting close enough to see the screen prompt and the rest is a movie. The "excitement" built into this system is unlocking more complex take down movies to employ/watch...similar to unlocking more powerful range weapons for stand-off attacks. It drives a wedge between the player and immersion.Originally Posted by LaMOi Go to original post
I understand what your saying, but I've played a lot of stealth games, from Tenchu, Splinter Cell to Thief and Dishonoured etc. They all have 'Stealth kills' and they play out as a satisfying (IMO) little kill/Takedown animation, assuming you can sneak up close enough without being detected.
What happened before 'stealth kill' animations were introduced into games was simply going up behind the enemy and bashed them on the head with your knife! It was rubbish!!!
Did you feel this way in game like Dishonoured? Cos that has the same mechanic?
