I'm just wondering who gets the most business when it comes to selling games. Where did or where are you planning to preorder or eventually purchase the division from? Actually where do you buy the majority of your games. Just curious.

The Sony PS store along with Steam and MS Live store are all resale stores, which is why you'll be paying the same price for a digital download versus a direct buy from the Publishing company which we would think would be cheaper. You're still supporting the devs by purchasing their game, but in this case your supporting Sony with its digital downloads.Originally Posted by HoyHoyJake Go to original post
For me, it really depends on what the game is. If it's something that I want to collect, then I'll go out and get a physical copy from Gamestop, since there's no E.B. anymore around here or whatever. If not, then I do a digital download. I still have mixed feelings about The Division, so I'm not sure what I'll do.
I was referring to stores like Gamestop which buy used games and when they resell them, the devs see 0% of that resale. Devs see money from digital downloads. Obviously Sony gets a cut but so do publishers etc. that's just the nature of the business.Originally Posted by DeadWyre Go to original post
That poll was... well it was far from perfect
Anyways first I check GOG since I wanna support CD Projekt but they often don't have new games.
Next I'll check few sites here in Finland that show where the cheapest prices are (usually physical copies).
Last it is good to check some cdkey sites since those often have cheapest prices.
These days I never buy from Steam directly if it isn't on sale and I never need to go to Gamestop since it is so expensive.
